It seems these days they spend more effort on the graphics than the actual story. Do they think that the hot off the shelf, brand spanking new, 3D graphics will distract us from the fact that the plot is terrible? Because I can assure you it doesn’t. Oh wow! Corphish’s bubble beam had a reflective surface and I swear that the bubbles are actually 3D! It looks as if they could just pop right out my TV! And look! The characters have no personality what so ever!
We used to all enjoy getting up to watch good old Pokémon when it was first airing, because we wanted to join Ash on his adventure to catch ‘em all and to become a pokémon master. Now days, if you tune in you don’t watch Ash battle it out to catch ‘em all and become a pokémon master, you see Ash trying to make as many friends as possible all whilst showing perfect manners, trying to set a good example. Every episode is a life lesson on how to make friends, but we don’t want to see that! We want to watch Ash battle against his rivals! We want to watch him kick butt! Not give long monologues about the importance of friendship. It all lacks the “feel” that the original gave us. That warm fuzzy feeling deep inside.
