Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

In addition to being a fairly good wallpaper artist, I'm also a fan fiction writer who's written quite a few stories on FanFiction.Net. To check those stories out, CLICK HERE

That’s pretty much all you need to know about me. I'm not sure how often I'll post something here, but I'll try to as often as I can. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy visiting.

Part 1 Winners Are...

Greetings people of TheO. Once again, another of my wallpaper challenges has come to an end, and I have already decided the winners. It was tough judging the entries for this challenge, because so many of them were really good. In the end I decided to judge the entries by the level of emotion in the wallpapers. So here are our winners.

1st Place: Rain Tapping on my Pane by kita mitchi

It's just such a sad image, and the background was brilliantly done in my opinion.

2nd Place: Stand In The Rain by zombieusagi

Right away I recognized which episode of Code Geass this image is from. And I have to say that this wallpaper was a pretty good use of it.

3rd Place: ...even cold november rain... by Hanako Sho

I'm not a huge Guns & Roses fan, but I have to say that was a really appropriate song to use for the title. Also the background was excellently done.

There are a couple of honorable mentions in this challenge.

A Long Road by 21Emmz12

This one came really close to being one of the winners. The one reason why it didn't win was that I felt it was just a tad too bright.

Why Do We Fall by Klassic

Another wallpaper that came really close to winning. The reason why it didn't was because I didn't feel like it had the level of emotion I was looking for.

So there you have it. I wish I could've picked five winners, but this is the way it went. Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone who entered, and I hope you'll all enter my next challenge, which in theory will be starting up shortly. So stay tuned.

Theme Song For the Afternoon

It's the first few verses that apply to this afternoon, and yesterday afternoon as well. I may use this song for a wallpaper if I can find an appropriate image. Once again I was outside in 99 degree weather spray painting popsicle sticks for a kids' craft project. This time I was out for four hours and fifteen minutes, though I did take breaks and kept myself hydrated.

Stupid, Crazy, or Other?

Here's how my afternoon went today. I spent four hours outside spray painting popsicle sticks for a kids' craft project at the library. The temperature out was about 98 degrees. So was doing that outside for four hours in that heat stupid, crazy, or something else. Keep in mind that I took breaks inside the building every now and than, and that I had an ample supply of water.

Update Regarding My Last Post

For those who care, Fan Fiction.Net seems to be working again. There was one tiny little glitch, but nothing serious. Now if the site would just stop deleting stories, things would be golden.

Not In the Best Mood Right Now

Tonight I have rediscovered the meaning of irony. As a few of you probably know, yesterday was a blackout day for users of Fan Fiction.Net to protest the recent rash of deletions. But, as it had become five past midnight, I decided (or at least hoped) that the blackout had ended. So I decided to log on and post a new story (one that I'm afraid is not suitable for TheO). However, when I uploaded the document, I would either get a message either saying that the connection had timed out, or that some kind of error occurred.

The second message said that it was either an internal error, or a problem with the document itself. The thought did occur to me that it might be a problem with the document, as my version of Word is kinda old, and the site has been going through some upgrades lately. But I'm more inclined to believe that it's a problem with the site itself, because it was loading pretty slowly. Heck, I couldn't even log out. Plus even after a lot of these upgrades took effect I could still upload documents. So I guess the only thing to do right now is try again later.

Just needed to vent that. Ignore this post if you want.
