Ladies and gentlemen, Straight No Chaser.
First I'd like to update everyone on how the new computer is working out. I'm still getting used to the new controls and I think I need to adjust a few settings. But other than that, it's working pretty good. The internet runs a whole lot better on this new unit. I seem to be having much fewer problems with FanFiction.Net (though it is kind of weird that they changed how you log out). The only major casualty out of all this besides a few minor Word documents being lost is that I now have to put all my CDs on iTunes again. Plus I had originally borrowed some of my dad's CDs too, so I'll have to borrow them again. So it's kind of a mess on that front.
So getting to the main subject of my post, I had to do Christmas shopping today. Normally I try not to wait until the last minute like this, but I've had a few setbacks. I was sick that one weekend, for one thing. Plus I kind of hesitated getting some of the gifts I had in mind. The reason is because one year I had bought a season of this one TV show for my dad, and a couple of nights later he comes home from work with a package. He opens it and reveals that he had ordered the exact same TV show season that I had gotten for him. I'd like to know why the heck he decided to order DVDs for himself so close to Christmas.
Anyway, that was why I was hesitant to get him this one movie I ended up getting for him. I didn't really have any other gift ideas for my dad though. He's one of those people that's virtually impossible to shop for. My late mother was the same way. In short, Christmas shopping is not an easy task for me. In fact I may have to go out again tomorrow to find one other gift for my dad (though I have no clue what gift that might be). I hope everyone else is having an easier time with their shopping or had the sense to have gotten it done before now.
