Christmas List Tip

Here's something I forgot to mention in my last post. This tip is kind of aimed at those of you with parents or relatives who have no problem with you watching anime, but have absolutely no clue about anime at all (which I'm sure is the majority). Say you want a certain anime series for Christmas. The first step is to type up your Christmas list on a Word document or something that you can use the hyperlink feature on. Next, find a webpage about the anime series in question, or better yet a site that's selling it on DVD. Put a link to that page into your list using the name of the series and email it to your parents or whoever is most likely to get you the thing.

I've used this little trick at least two times now. This year it helped get me Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 on DVD, and last year it helped get the first omnibus volume of the manga, Girl Friends (a yuri manga by author, Milk Morinaga). In fact my dad was glad that I used a link for Bubblegum Crisis, because it helped him avoid getting the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA from the 80s. So this trick also helps to clear up any confusion that might occur. While this little tip of mine may not be a sure thing and is far from subtle, it should help if getting that one anime or manga related gift you're wishing for at Christmas. So this might be a tip some of you might want to keep in mind for next year.
