I'm going to do something that I don't normally do and show everyone a wallpaper of mine that's unfinished. The reason being is that I'm stuck on what to do for the background and could really use some help figuring out what to do. Here's the wallpaper in question.

So I have a vague idea of how I want to do the background. I want to do something that's divided down the middle so that it looks like even though our two characters are leaning against one another, they're in two different worlds. In other words, two different backgrounds instead of one. The problem is that I don't really know what to use. I can't just use simple colors. For one thing, that would be really lame. Plus I think just using colors would make the wallpaper much brighter than I want it to be.

That's pretty much the only problem I'm having with this wallpaper. So any suggestions about what to do would be most welcome.
