The Previous Week

Ladies and gentlemen, Styx.

Just to warn everybody, this next post is going to be a little long and personal. So if anyone wants to turn back, now's the time. That said, the previous week was not a good one for my family. I'm sure most of everyone reading knows about what's been going on with my cat. The good news on that front is that my cat's at about 85, maybe 90%. He doesn't seem to have the full use of his left rear leg though, and he may never get it back. He's also not as active as he used to be, but then he is a pretty old cat.

I think I also mentioned that my grandpa had a small stroke a few days ago. He's out of the hospital, but he's going to have to use a walker for awhile. But the really bad incident for my family happened last Friday. My step uncle killed himself. For me it was just right out of the blue, but it turns out he had been dealing with some major depression lately. The weird thing that I'm actually not all that broken up about my step uncle's death. Then again, he and I were never that close with one another. I think my dad's kind of the same way.

If anything, I feel really bad for my one aunt. This guy was her third husband. Here I and most of my family thought that she had found a decent enough guy to spend the remainder of her life with, and he ends up being just another float in a parade of losers. And to lose the guy this, that's just the worst of the worst ways for it to happen. I really hope my aunt can get through this. Right now I'm kind of afraid that she's going to fall into a deep depression and end up as a crazy old lady with about fifty cats. But my dad is there for her, and so are my cousins. So hopefully my aunt can get through this.

That's pretty much all there is to report at the moment, other than TheO being down this morning. Until next time.
