Ladies and gentlemen, Chicago.
Labor Day has never been one of my favorite holidays. I always seem to forget the reason why that is. A lot of times I think it's because my usual routine is disrupted in some way or because most of the T.V. stations are showing some kind of marathon of a show I don't particularly like. But after how my week is starting out, I finally remembered the reason why I've never been all that fond of Labor Day. Sure, it sounds good on paper. The weekend becomes a day longer. But where does that extra day come from? It comes from the beginning of the normal week, which means there's less time to get any work done. Between the work I have to do for my online class and some yard work I have to do for my aunt later this week, I hardly have any time to get my next fanfic started.
Of course I guess that's just my own fault. I could've used yesterday to get a head start on some of the work I had to and prevented myself from falling into this time crunch. But part of that would've involved printing out some of the required reading for my class, and I can't exactly use the printer while my dad's hanging around the house. Well, actually I could've, but it just would've felt weird. It's kind of complicated, and I guess it's also something of an excuse n my part. No matter how anyone slices it, I got myself into this mess. Of course, it didn't help that my dad told me I had to mow the lawn at like the last minute on top of everything else.
Anyway, one pretty good thing happened to me today. I finally got that little item I ordered online over a week ago. The item in question was a set of three Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Here are the cards in question.
The only kind of weird thing was that I ordered the ultra rare version of Shark Drake and got the ultimate rare version. But I'm not all that picky about it. Truth be told, I didn't really care about that Shark Drake card either way. The only reason why I ordered it was because the site I ordered it from has like an $8.00 to $10.00 minimum, and those other two cards together cost like only a buck. But that Dark Master - Zorc card is a card that I've wanted for my collection for years. The big reason is because it represents a certain arch villain from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! saga.
Anyway, that's all there really is to report for this post. I just wanted to get some of this off my chest. The only other thing to mention is that TheO seems to be the deadest it's ever been. I half expect a tumbleweed to roll out of my computer screen when I look in my Backroom. FanFiction.Net seems to be pretty lifeless too as far as I can tell. The only thing I've been getting in my email today has been more emails from politicians asking me for money all because I signed a simple petition that one time. Gets pretty old after a while.
Anyway, until next time.
