Some Advice Please?

Hello again everyone. So as the title states, I'm doing this post to get a little advice on something I've been dealing with for the past few weeks. The people I'm seeking advice from are those here on TheO who are fan fiction writers and/or just writers in general. If any of those people are seeing this post, I ask you to please read on.

So for the past couple of weeks, and today especially, I've kind of been reflecting on my body of work on FanFiction.Net. I have about five or six major projects going on that site right now, and lately I've been thinking of maybe discontinuing some of them. I haven't touched some of these projects for a long time, and I'm pretty sure that the following for said projects has kind of dropped off. Plus it's recently dawned on me that I need to sort of rebalance the time I use for writing with other stuff that's going on in my life right now, mainly because I'm not sure I have the energy I used to have for writing stories at the pace I have been. As a result I'm no longer sure I can finish all these projects I've started, so I think the time may have come for me to do a little bit of "spring cleaning".

The main problem is I'm not really sure how to proceed. For one thing I'm not sure if I really want to discontinue some of these projects. One thing I've been doing to try and decide is that I've been looking at the stories that are part of the series projects I'm thinking of retiring and seeing how many followers and/or favorites they have. Some of them are actually kind of pitiful. The other problem is that once I do decide to retire some of these projects, do I simply delete the stories that make them up from the site, or do I just leave them up? This is one of the rare instances in life where it's much harder to destroy than create.

So to any fellow writers who may be reading this, please give me some advice as to what to do. This is something I could really use some help with.
