*Bleep*ing Crunchyroll Store!

Hello again everyone. This post is sort of a follow-up to my monthly update post from yesterday, and it's likely going to be something of an angry rant, so get ready.

Now in yesterday's post I mentioned that I had preordered something from the Crunchyroll Store and it was shipping out extremely late. The truth is I've actually preordered a number of items from Crunchyroll, and one of those items was supposed to arrive today, at least according to the tracking information for the package. Well when I checked my mailbox today all I found was a whole lot of junk mail. So I decided to see what the tracking info for the package said, and the latest information on the USPS website said it was being returned to the sender because the address it was supposed to be shipped to didn't exist. When I read this, I immediately rushed to my local post office branch to find out what the hell was going on.

The good news is I was able to pick up the package before they shipped it back. As for why the hell the package was being sent back, the shipping label had the wrong street name on it!

Now I hold no ill will towards the post office. The people there were just doing their jobs the best they could. The fault lies with the idiot at the Crunchyroll Store who printed out that shipping label! And I don't see how this could've happened, because the package I had to pick up was originally part of an order for another item that wasn't a preorder, and that item got shipped out right away and to the correct address! The thing is, while I was able to get this package, I also had three other preorders from Crunchyroll that apparently all shipped out yesterday. How do I know they also don't all have the incorrect street name!?

On top of all this, I actually hadn't gotten any shipping confirmation emails about these preorders. I only found out they had shipped after I logged into my store account to check on certain things. I can't understand why they didn't send out any shipping confirmations. It may have something to do with the fact that I had to change the email I used with my Crunchyroll account for reasons too stupid to get into. Anyway, I jotted down the tracking numbers for those packages so I can check on them myself.

Fun fact, it turns out Google has a feature that lets you track packages being sent through the post office without actually having to visit the post office website. I used that feature to discover that those remaining packages I have coming are supposed to all arrive either tomorrow or the day after, but there's no telling if any of those packages have the right street address on them. I'm not sure what I'm going to do if these packages were labeled incorrectly because tomorrow I have to be at work all day, and then my local post office branch is closed the whole weekend even though there's still mail service on Saturday (not at all sure how that works). So I'm really at my wits end with this problem. And it's all because those twits at the Crunchyroll Store apparently don't know what the hell they're doing!

One thing I am sure of is I'm definitely going to only use the Crunchyroll Store if absolutely necessary. I'm definitely not going to preorder anything from them anymore, and I'm certainly going to stop ordering manga from them period. I may use them if there are any more anime titles I want to get on disc, but I think at this point shopping from them is going to be an absolute last resort.

That pretty much concludes this rant. I will add though that this whole experience has certainly ruined my Halloween. I hope everyone else is having a better holiday than I am.
