i'm a college sophomore
i think i will end up being in school for five years, instead of the usual four.
my major requires 123 credit hours, and i only take 12 a semester. i would have to take four summer classes a year to achieve it in four, and i'm not sure its worth it. why spend my entire summers slaving over coursework when i could just simply stay one more year in school?
who knows? i'll probably end up taking SOME summer classes at least.
some of my friends take 15 credit hours a semester, but i refuse to do so. i don't want to overwork myself. people put too much on their plate, then wonder why they are not reaching their potential.
i am all about not setting the bar too high or too low. set it in the middle, maybe upper middle. (i say upper middle because all of my electives thus far were 300-level courses-- what the heck is wrong with me? do i love pain??)

i have this urge to post something slightly offensive, now that i've been trolled again.
i really hate it, and i know that hate is a strong word. i have no qualms with an individual disagreeing with me. really, that's hip and all that.
what I have an issue with is the meaningless crap talk. the assumptions.
it's really insulting, not only to me, but to the people you know (in the REAL world, not lala internet land) who you could be talking to, hanging out with, working for, folding laundry with, etc. during all the time it takes you to crap talk some no named person who you've never met and (i really hope) never will.
go benefit society, if only in a small way, and stop trolling me.
its not most of you, but when i get a comment from some no named user who has only made one comment (which was to insult me) i cannot help but think to myself
wow, this person didn't have the guts to troll me on their real sn.
and that post was a few months old, it was from when i was studying the republican revolution in school. (i disapprove of that school of thought, in case you're curious)
be that as it may, i refuse to get into some knock down drag out fight with anyone over it.
you wanna be a republican, go right on ahead, all politicians are scumbags anyway (although reagan is my least favorite)
it just makes me... SOOO angry... because there is this horrid lack of respect on the internet. it is even worse than that used in real life.
these trolls were obviously raised in a barn by cows and horses, and i know that isn't a polite thing to say, but... i am not feeling polite. i'm feeling outraged.
i'm pretty dramatic at times, i know it.
(btw new naruto was awesome. new bleach was fair. lol.)
oh and, my boyfriend baught a 3ds. awesome! we have the new resident evil. it is pretty hard.

i don't know if this is something that is only popular in the chicago area or what, but it is tactless, and very rude.
ok, i am not sure how to explain the emphasis on the syllables very well (without actually saying it)
i will walk up to a co-worker and say, "hey jenny, a man up front would like to speak to you." my co-worker proceeds to turn to me (she doesn't look at me when i speak, because she does not respect me as a human being) she looks me in the eye and says "REALLY?!?!?"
it is not just my co-worker, and it is not just to me. this phrase is becoming increasingly present in my daily life; i hate it.
do not talk to your colleagues with such a tone of dissent, such a tone of apathy. for crying out loud, we all work here, we all are not paid enough, we all are under appreciated by those in power. do you honestly think that treating me like poop is going to make you cool? why? and i know, i've heard it. "calm down, alyssa, you get so worked up about nothing, it is JUST an expression"
it is just a rude and uncalled for expression. firstly, when i speak to you, i am not doing so simply for my health. i am doing so because i have something pertinent to convey to you. i would appreciate if you'd exhibit the decency to at the very least GLANCE in my general direction when i speak to you.
and... i'm not finished... right here... look at me... thank you. yes, and also, i absolutely will not be blown off with your sarcasm and disrespect. "REALLY?!?!?" is not an appropriate way to address my sincere attempt to do my job. "oh, thanks" is just fine.
why does everyone have to be so egocentric and helium-brained. i'm the only person in this entire town, perhaps even county, who was raised with even the most fundamental understanding of morals.
