Grr!! I have projects backed up out the wazoo!!
I have the pictures I want to do for fun-- which is what art SHOULD be.. Then I have an animation ((whoo-hoo, frame-by-frame/cell animations!!)) that I'm wanting to work on for the possibility of a scholarship, which I may not even get anything from according to a lot of the college representatives I've spoken to... AND I have to work on a portfolio-- which, by the way, I just realized recently that I have to have a specific theme and can't just hand the people my work and say "Hey, here's what I can do!! =D"
My mom and art teacher don't want me doing anymore anime-type stuff.. In fact, I'm being yelled at a lot by my mom.... ¬¬ So, that leaves me out of luck on the first group of projects I mentioned..
I'm starting to lose hope on my animation, but don't want to do a lot of the other projects in my class because I'm protesting my right as an Independent Study student... And because I really don't like any of them and have no inspiration for them..
And what the heck is up with a THEME??? Shouldn't a portfolio show everything you CAN do and not just what you were pretty much demanded of just for the purpose of scholarship?? And, I NEED anime for what I want to do for a career! ((Yes.. I wants to be an animator of sorts....)) Shouldn't colleges see ALL the ranges of your talent and not just say "Oh, you need to do strictly portraits".. or still life, or whatever.. You shouldn't be restricted in your work, or else no one will know all of what you're good at..
Ok... Sorry, but I really needed that little rant out.. Please forgive me for doing so..
