A Demon and an Angel
Angel, Angel,
Why can’t you see your wings?
Their outline is oh so clear to me?
Yet you remain on the ground,
Here with me.
Angel, angel,
Why can’t you see?
Demon, demon,
What do you hide behind your smile?
Are those tears I see falling from your eyes?
You call to me,
Then push me away,
Demon, demon,
Have you come to play?
Save me....?
You say I am flawed, for you have seen what lies below.
A demon in the shadow of a smile,
A rejected angel, whose cries never quite reach the heaven,
For which she so longs….
Do you see this light of which you speak?
Sometimes a faint blur beckons to me,
It hides behind the bonds of a young girl,
Whose bond are yet to be broken.
Does she know the love she gives is that can heal me?
That that same love could destroy me?
How would she heal such wounds;
That she never knew she created?
Where has the love gone?
It seems that the love is gone,
Did it ever mean so much in the first place?
Or was it really just me all along….?
I’d like to say your love saved me,
I’d like to say that you always pull me back,
But it has come to mind,
This pain….
These memories that you never have known,
You wonder what I don’t speak.
The answer is clear to me now.
It’s this fearful pain which has slaughtered me once more.
But how?
Of the tears I have cried,
An ocean has spread.
I see love as a fleighting dream,
Fluttering wistfully to the other side.
Though impossible to attempt,
I jump into the frigid waters,
Reaching towards that beautiful heaven.
While she help me,
Or will have to help myself?
Either way,
My heart will tear.
“Please don’t it end like this”,
I say as the waters close in around me.
A shinning goddess,
Shimmering with the strength of a thousand suns,
But will she reach me in time?
Guess I'll have to wait and see....
