Appearing in front of them, Phoenix stood, hands on her hips as the storm cleared around her. Nothing but the calm of a summer’s day circled around her. She looked at the three of them, shaking her head.
"I told you I would give you safe passage there and back, but still you soul reapers tread out on your own like you could defeat the world."
She spread her arms out, dividing the icy fury of the storm around them. They, too, were now safe from the Winter's Touch.
"This way to the cave." She stepped forward and the warmth she created followed. "Don't fall too far behind,” she warned calmly. “My power will only allow me to calm so much." She told them not looking back, pushing ever so on ward.
Kisuke shook his head, an irritated look on his face, and spoke under his breath. “You arrogant bitch.”
He moved forward to keep from get outside her power.
Juushiro let Kisuke speak for all of them all as he cancelled the Kido spell, letting the cloak lie heavily on the bleeding arm until he tended to it. For now, he increased his pace and kept a hand on this zanpakuto.
---
From inside his resting place Hyourinmaru sensed a disturbance to his storm. By mnifesting himself and sensing for the area it was coming from, he found the source. Far from the cave four different spiritual pressures were coming towards him.
How dare they try to disturb his master! In supreme rage and to protect his master's peace, Hyourinmaru focused his power around them. Increasing the storm's ferocity, making the air around them burn frigid, frostbite was for certain! He made the storm far worse than even a God could handle! Letting out a tremendous roar, he hurled a shock wave of frozen air to greet them, to definitely blow them back and hopefully deter them from pressing further forward.
---
Juushiro’s eyes widened as Hyourinmaru's power rose back to meet Phoenix's intervention. "KISUKE!" he hollered in warning, "Get Benihime up now." Grabbing Tsukiro, he pulled the boy to him. "Blazing Beacon. Phoenix's wrath. Hado. no. 125 Kojin no Ibuki! "
He winced as the spell, gratefully still leaking from his wounds, ripped the Kido warmth out of him, reawakening the shield just as ice dragon's roar cascaded over them, gritting his teeth as the rope squeezed tighter on his arm.
Phoenix threw her hands in front of her palms out, growling under her breath. "Oh no you don't, you pain in the hinny ice dragon.”
She forced her powers outward as she yelled at the three behind her. "Shield yourselves. It is going to get cold for a bit!"
The warmth that was around them rushed forward, wrapping around the fury of the ice dragon. She looked to her left, seeing Kisuke draw his blade.
Equally determined, Kisuke drew his zanpakuto and called out, "Scream Crimson Princess, Blood Shield!" Benihime rushed forward, helping Phoenix block Hyourinmaru's attempt in pushing them back.
The raging storm lashed out at them, weakening their barriers just in time for the shock wave to hit with the force of a Cat 7 hurricane. Bringing with it millions of shards of ice, negative 20 and below temperatures, and a frigid wind chill.
Phoenix could feel the energy of Hyourinmaru's power pushing against them; however, this made Phoenix push even harder. She spread her arms wide then thrust them forward, quickly causing a gust of hot wind to surge forward. Shards of ice pierced Benihime's blood shield, but Benihime did not budge as she stood strong against Hyourinmaru's incoming rage.
Phoenix heard Kisuke calling out to his sword again.
"CRY BENIHIME!" In a downward slash, Kisuke brought Benihime back. She stopped at his side as a wave of red came forward and swallowed the shock wave that advanced toward them.
