Face Down by: Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Hey girl you know you drive me crazy
One look puts the rhythm in my hand
Still I'll never understand why you hang around
I see what's going down.

Cover up with make up in the mirror
Tell yourself it's never gonna happen again
You cry alone and then he swears he loves you.

Do you feel like a man
When you push her around?
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

A pebble in the water makes a ripple effect
Every action in this world will bear a consequence
If you wait around forever you will surely drown
I see what's going down.

I see the way you go and say you're right again,
Say you're right again,
Heed my lecture.

Do you feel like a man
When you push her around?
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

Face down in the dirt
She said "This doesn't hurt!"
She said "I finally had enough!" [2x]

Face down in the dirt
She said "This doesn't hurt!"
She said "I finally had enough!"

(Screaming)
One day she will tell you that she has had enough
It's coming round again

Do you feel like a man
When you push her around?
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

Do you feel like a man
When you push her around?
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

Face down in the dirt
She said "This doesn't hurt!"
She said "I finally had enough!"

This song is about an abusive boyfriend how beats up his girlfriend, and she tells eveyone that she is alright, she says things like "ohh I triped and fell" just different excuses. And she wears a lot of make up so hopefully people won't see the brusies and other things that is caused by her boyfriend.

And that is pretty much what this book is about. Well, kinda. This book is told from two different things. At the beginning of this book, Nick is in court with Caitlin and her parents. And he is supposed to take anger managment classes and keep a diary. And this book is told from what is currently going on and from his diary. Which is what happened and why everything is the way it is.

The reason is that One day Nick and Caitlin started going out. And they got REALLY close. Then one day Nick and Caitlin and a bunch of other friends went on this trip thing were they went on a boat and went diving and things like that. Then when they were on their wasy back, Nick was pretending not to have his hands on the wheel as they were going over a really small bridge, and Caitlin got really freaked out and was trying to grab the wheel so they would stay on the bridge. Then all of a sudden Nick reached across and slapped her really hard. She started crying and then the next day at school she wore extra makeup and when anyone asked about the bruise she told them she fell. And that is basically what the beginning of the song is like.

But of course, the song is from someone elses point of view. Like it is her friend and they figure out what is going on, that she is getting beat up by her boyfriend. But in the book it is from the abusive boyfriend's point of view.

Then, in the end of the song, it says how the girlfriend finally says she has enough and just walks out on him. Cause she is tired of getting beat up. That is what happens at the end of this book (well in the end of the diary part were he tells what happened) Nick got really madat Caitlin because she sang at this talent show contest and he didn't want her to. Then when they were on their way to the car, he got really mad and started punching her and totally beating her up. Then, his friends come by and see this happening and pull him off of her. That is when she basically says that she has had enough. Then they go to court. And tjat os wjem Nick's point of view comes in.

The song and the book are both about a girl getting beat up by their boyfriend. And many lines in the song are exactly what happened in the book. That is why everytime I hear this song, I think of this book, cause they are so much alike.

New Moon by: Stephenie Meyer

Compare and contrast two character in the story

Edward and Jacob both really love Bella, and they want the best thing possible of her. They are also both not human. But they were at one time.

Edward is a vampire
Jacob is a wolf

Edward has been alive for like three hundred years
Jacob bas been alive for like 16

They both have amazing speed and strength

Bella loves Jacob
Bella loves Edward more.

Bella couldn't survive without them.
This is a fact

Edward has to control himself when he is around Bella, because she smells so good to him, and if he looses his control around her he can either, turn her into a vampire or kill her.

Jacob has to control himself around Bella too. Because if she makes him mad or if he gets too mad when he is around her, he can either seriously hurt her or kill her.

Edward and Jacob's type of creatures are enemys. The whole purpose of Jacob's kind is to kill Edward's type. But Edward and his family have worked really hard to control themselves so they can live around people without killing the. But whenever one of them gets cut and they start to bleed, that is when it gets tough (except for Carisle) as we found out in the beginning of this book.

Edward has really cold, hard, and pale skin.
Jacob has really hot, soft and dark skin.

If you go by looks, Jacob looks a lot stronger than Edward, because Jacob is SO tall and muscular.
But really, Edward is just as strong if not stronger then Jacob.

Edward was turned into a vampire because Charisle bit him and got the venom in him.
Jacob was turned into a warewolf because it is in his blood. He was going to wether he wanted to or not.

This is how Jacob and Edward are smilar and how they are different.

Twilight by: Stephenie Mayer

Read a book that has been made into a movie. Write an essay comparing the movie version to the book.

I recently went and watched the Twilight movei. And I have also read the book. As I watched the movie, I saw many things in the movie that were just like the book, and manyt things that were totally different from the book.

Like for one thing, The beginning of the movie didn't start out the same way that the beginning of the movie did. In the movie, Bella met Mike at like the lunch table, when in the book she met him after Biology class, because she took a while getting her stuff together, and Mike stayed after to help walk her to her next class (which they had together and it was P.E)

In speaking of P.E. The movie never really showed a lot of P.E time in there. Wher in the book it mentioned a lot about it. Bella never really did anything in P.E because she is very clumsy, and I also noticed in the movie, that they didn't really focus a lot on her clumsiness, when in the book it is a BIG deal, especially to Bella and Edward.

One thing that I REALLY liked, that was in both the movie and in the book was the first few Biology classes with Bella and Edward. I liked the way how it described the tension between them. With Edward clenching his fists and sitting as far away from Bella as possible. I about died lauging when I saw that part in the movie. They did a really good job of making that look very awkward between Bella and Edward.

The scene at the La Push was very different. For one, in the book it said that it was very sunny when it first began and it wasn't very cold outside. In the movie, it was very cloudy and everyone had coats on and stuff, so that gave it the illusion that it was cold in the movie. Also in the book at La Push. They said that they were like sitting around a fire (or that was what i pictured it as in my head) and in the movie pretty much everyone just had their trucks and cars parked near each other and they just sat in the seats with the doors open. Also at La Push, in the movie, it did not show Bella going for a walk with everyone and falling down and scraping herself. That did happen in the book though.

In the movie, Bella and I think the whole school, im not completely sure on who all went but I do know that Bella's whole Biology class went and Rosalie, Alice and Edward went. There might of been more of the Cullen family there but I'm not all the way sure. But they went on a field trip to like a green house i think it was. It had something to do with plants. And Bella walked with Edward most of the time and she was asking him personal questions (Bella does ask A LOT of personal questions in the book) but on their way back to the school, Alice asks Bella if she wants to ride the bus back with them, and Rosalie says that she can't. Well, this scene in the movie was never in the book. I liked that scene, I didn't think there was anything bad about it, it didn't like completely change the story line but it just wasn't in the book.

In the last paragraph I told you about something that the movie added that wasn't in the book. Now I'm going to describe something that I thought was very important (well not like deadly important, but i thought it is a good thing for you to realize like why he did a few things that he did in this part)In the book the author descibes Bella and Edward are talking at lunch (this is before she finds out that he is a vampire) and Edward said that he is skipping Biology class. And it just so happens that they do blood testing on that day. Well, Bella gets sick at the sight of blood, and when someone pricked their finger she got all pale and stuff, and almost passed out. Then the teacher asked Mike to take her to the nurses station (now that i finished reading all of the book it is a VERY good thing that Bella had not pricked her finger yet) But then about half way there Edward comes and takes her the rest of the way to the nurses station and sits with her for a while. Well, anyways, they totally took that whole scene out of the movie.

Even though the movie and the book both had a lot of differnet things, I still really like both of them. (the movie was especially good cause you got to SEE what edward, and Emment, and everyone else looked like. I do believe that the casting crew did a very good job of picking VERY pretty people to play the roles. (Alice was a little different then what I had in mind but that is ok)

So, all in all, the book and the movie do have a lot of the same things in the movie as the book, and there are also a lot of different things. But all in all, i really liked both of them. I thin that Stephanie did a really good job of writing the book, and the writers, castors, actors, and other people involved did a really good job of putting on the movie. I can honestly say that I was not disspointed in the movie as compared to the book.

"Here For The Party" by Gretchen Wilson

Well I'm an eight ball shooting double fisted drinking son of a gun
I wear My jeans a little tight
Just to watch the little boys come undone
Im here for the beer and the ball busting band
Gonna get a little crazy just because I can

You know im here for the party
And i aint leavin til they throw me out
Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some
You know im here, im here for the party

I may not be a ten but the boys say i clean up good
And if i gave em half a chance for some rowdy romance you know they would
Ive been waiting all week just to have a good time
So bring on them cowboys and their pick up lines

You know im here for the party
And i aint leavin til they throw me out
Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some
You know im here, im here for the party

Dont want no purple hooter shooter just some jack on the rocks
Dont mind me if i start that trashy talk

You know im here for the party
And i aint leavin til they throw me out
Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some
You know im here, im here for the party

You know im here for the party
And i aint leavin til they throw me out
Gonna have a little fun gonna get me some
You know im here, im here for the party

This is the song that I feel relates to one of the characters in this book. I think that this song most relates to Ella.

In this song, it is a girl singing and she seems pretty confidient in herself. But not to sound bad or anything she also makes herself seem kind of easy. And that is exactly how Ella is. Just like in the song, Ella likes to go to parties to get drunk, and does wear very tight and revieling clothes. And that is pretty much what this whole song is about.
One of the lines in this song is "Don't mind me if I start that trashy talk" Any time I hear this song, especially this line, I think of Ella in this book. One time in the book she goes to a club and well of course she is underaged for drinking but she does anyways. And she randomly walked into the middle of the dance floor and started dancing just to catch some guys attention. Then when on of them were to look at her she would start some trashy talk to try to lead them on. So they would buy her a drink or more....
But I know anytime I hear this song, my mind ALWAYS goes to this book and I immeditaly think of Ella. Her and the girl described in this song seem almost exactly alike. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same person!

Hanging on to Max by: Margaret Bechard

Write an essay about the main characters life twenty years from now.

In this book. The whold thing is when Sam is 17 and Max is a little less than a year old. And the very last page or so it switches to 18 years in the future. And Max comes and see's his fater Sam (after he had gotten put up for adoption) And I am going to write this for 20 years from that point

Sam has gotten to know Max very well. Max made very good grades in school and was the star quarter back. Max got a scholorship into a very good College were he doesn't have to pay a single dime, as long as he is playing football for them. Max comes home everyweekend and visits him. Does Sam regret giving him up for adoption? Of course he does. But he knew that it was int he best interest for himself and Max. While Max was growing up, he had a very good childhood. His adoptive parents loved him very much and did anything they could to make him happy. Max has also gotten to know Sam's other kids (his half sisters) and Sam's wife. They get a long very well, and Max loves to teach Meg fighting moves. (Aparenty she wants to be a famous boxer when she grows up)But all in all everything turned out really well. For both Max and Sam.
