So yeah, I have a ridiculous obsession with Reno. This started coming about... two months ago. You see, Advent Children is basically my favorite movie ever and I'm a total sucker for the comic relief character. I was watching Advent Children over for about the... tenth time I'd say. I had just inherited a Reno costume from a friend of mine, and she told me to pay special attention to him this time through, because he's "AWESOME." Up to this point, I had found Reno to be funny, but every time I'd watched the movie I'd been paying more attention to Kadaj and Yazoo. But after that, Reno was my favorite character, no questions, no exceptions.
I immediately found the nearest computer and searched photobucket. After and hour of squealing and pressing the "save as" button, I had filled my computer with Reno images. Just tons of them.
I then went on a Reno rampage... I even ended up dowloading the entire FFVII:AC soundtrack just to listen to the Turk's Theme section of The Chase of Highway a few zillion times over and giggled as I thought about Reno.
Reno is amazing because I see a little bit of myself in him... he's sarcastic, he's a complete idiot, he's easily distracted, he's silly... but I don't think he plays trombone (if he did, I'd die).
I wouldn't go so far as to say Reno is my hero. My heroes are all real people, most of them actors or musicians... Tim Curry, Heath Ledger, Thom Yorke, Vic Mignogna, Jaco Pastorius... Reno is just a video game character. But Reno is so freaking cool, I just love him to death. And you, everyone wishes they were cool like that at least once in their life.
