So the dance was canceled last-minute due to "lack of interest." Big surprise. Our dances suck. Frankly I was rather relieved...G-man (thanks, EternalParadise for the name idea for the German guy!) later asked me over IM if I wanted to do something else that day instead of the dance but I told him that I had too much HW over the weekend (which is true). Plus I'm doing like 8 hours of community service this weekend too.

AAANNYYYWAAAAYYYYS. Today was really scary. I walked home from school since my stepdad couldn't pick me up, so I was the only one home. I was practicing piano when I heard my dog start barking and wimpering incessantly. He wouldn't stop so I finally stopped playing and turned around to see what was wrong...And I saw footprints and puddles of blood all over the floor.

GOD he almost gave me a heart attack. I couldn't find where he was bleeding from exactly right then so I took him to the bathroom and started to clean him up. He had torn one of his nails out half-way and it was screwed 90 degrees to one side, and blood was pouring out of his "finger." FREAKING SCARED ME TO DEATH. I was trying to clean him up and called the vet...We had to take him in, and they had to basically pull the hanging part off (pulling the entire nail out would hurt WAY too much, obviously) and then bandage him and stuff. He's okay now and doesn't feel any pain, thank goodness. It was so scary though, seeing all that blood just EVERYWHERE. TT_TT

But guess what? Among the examination, the actual pulling off of the nail, the antibiotics to make sure he doesn't get infected, the nail trimming, and the bandages...The bandages were the most expensive thing. And the medicine was the least expensive. Yeah. WTF? Why does pets' healthcare need to be so ridiculously expensive also? Dx
