Well. 1st post in Worlds after nearly 5 years on myO. Let's see if I can even figure this thing out.
Anyways. I've started driver's ed., which is...annoyingly taking up my would-be life drawing time. Just for two months though. But even after that I'm doing volleyball (it's basically a free workshop a club is doing for my school team) every other Wed., which takes up every other life drawing session I'll do. I guess I'll live.
In other news, there's this exchange student from Germany in my speech class. He's really quiet, independent, and shy (as I hear most Germans are =S ), and I never saw him sit with anyone at lunch, so I tried to be friends with him (especially since I studied abroad in Madrid only last semester). We've been friends and sitting together at lunch for like the past month. Then Thursday he comes up to me at my locker after school and says, "I was wondering if you'd like to go see a movie with me this weekend."
Yeah. WaaaAAAaaaAAAH?! I didn't know whether to take it as a date or just as a friend thing. I took it as a friend thing and just said okay. When I gave him the list of showtimes of the movie, he said either one of the evening ones. Plus it was just the two of us. Plus he seemed extra nervous (he always seems nervous around me =S ) asking me. Plus he seemed extra nervous at first when he got to the movie theater, though that might be just cuz he was a bit late. So he might have meant it as a date.
But then on Friday he was acting completely normal, treating me like a friend as always. Some people actually came up to our table and started talking to us during lunch though, so I guess he didn't really get a chance to do anything. I managed to get us by ourselves for a bit but he didn't try anything. He didn't try anything during the actual movie (Vantage Point - really good =D ), dinner, ice cream, and just hanging out we did today either. Plus I got to teach him how to use chopsticks.
So I think he just meant it as a friend thing. But...I dunno. I was totally freaking out Thursday night, Friday, and this morning about it. I somewhat dressed myself up for it, but not a lot. It would have been my first date, since I've always tried to avoid the whole boy thing. It causes so much unwanted drama. *sigh* Whatever. I think it was just a friend thing, and that makes life way easier.
Luvs and hugs,
RH
