FOLLOW THE SPIDERS.
“Nejiiiiiiiiiii my un-youthful teammate! I need you!!” Lee, our over-enthusiastic, spandex-wearing turtle-lover, cried as he jumped on top of his long-haired teammate. “I need you to help me! Stop being so un-youthful and COMEEEE!!”
“Where are we going?” Neji replied, dropping Lee. “And if it has anything to do with Canada, I’m not coming.”
“But their maple syrup is delicious, eh!” Lee chanted. “Oh well! We are not going to Canada! Instead, we are going there!” Lee pointed in the direction of a dark forest. “Come, Neji! We must go!”
“When the hell did that forest appear?” Neji asked, stepping away from the direction of the forest. The fifteen year old jonin was very wary of his chunin teammate.
Lee grabbed on to Neji’s long, flowing hair. “Come!” he yelled, dragging the boy along with him.
Neji sighed. “Whatever you say, Lee…….”
And so, for the sake of the story, and the authors will, the two traveled in the deep, dark forest.
“Tell me again what we’re doing.” Neji sighed.
“Simple, my un-youthful teammate! We’ve been instructed by the almighty Gai-sensei to FOLLOW THE SPIDERS!” Lee yelled, striking a random pose.
Neji nearly jumped out of his man-skirt, streaming a long line of curses. “SPIDERS?! No way in all of Hell you will get me to follow spiders!!”
“Why not?” Lee’s puppy dog eyes disgusted Neji.
“BECAUSE, you dumbass, don’t you remember what happened during the Sasuke Retrival Arc?! SPIDERS ARE EVIL!” Neji sceamed, smacking his teammate many times. “I CAN’T STAND SPIDERS! OR YOUR FACE!”
This comment made Lee tear again. “You canot stand spiders…..?! YOU UNYOUTHFUL JERK!” he yelled, smacking Neji’s head…..again. “Soon you will be a pervert like Kakashi-san!”
“Hahaha……No.” Neji said, turning away. “I’m leaving.”
“YOU CAN’T, NEJI! WE CANNOT FIND THE SPIDERS WITHOUT YOU!” Lee cried.
“And why not?!” Neji twitched, his Byakugan activating.
“Because you have long hair.” Lee said simply, as if it were the least trivial thing in the world.
“That doesn’t make any sense, you drunken freak!”
“It makes plenty of sense. Is your head full of un-youthful thoughts again? Oh, wait, it always is.” Lee sighed. “This is the type of thing you can only understand when you get older. I’ll explain it to you later, okay?” Lee grinned. “Now LET US FIND SOME SPIDERS!!”
“HELL NO!!”
“Oh.” Lee cocked his head. “There they are.”
Neji quickly turned around. There were huge, black, hairy spiders right behind him, coming closer……and closer…… and closer……Neji screamed as he ran behind Lee. “Get them AWAY from me!” Neji yelled. He was, of course, having flashbacks. Otherwise, he would have killed the spiders.
“Why would I? They are attracted to you.”
“These THINGS are attracted to me?!” Neji looked at Lee in panic. Lee’s face was dead serious….ooh, scary! “When will they go away?!”
“When we follow them like Gai-sensei told us to!” Lee said happily, his face breaking out into a goofy grin. “Now…..AWAAAAAAAY!!”
And I thought he looked serious for a second there…..Neji felt like a fool. “Why can’t we just follow the butterflies?” he mumbled, reluctantly joining Lee.
