Chapter 3: Oh No…
“Hi you must be Hei Nightray the Headmaster’s son, I’m Hiroshi Yogi.” A cheerful voice stated coming from the door to the room. I looked up from my schedule Hiro had light brown hair and green eyes. He looked like he was about my height.
I nodded towards him and went back to looking at my schedule. “Don’t you talk?” He asked walking in and setting his bags down by his bed by the window.
“Y-yes.” I answered sitting up in bed.
“Oh so your shy. Strange, you don’t act like the headmaster at all.” Hiro smiled at me then went to pulling out his clothes and started putting them away.
‘Please I’m nothing like that man.’ I thought as my eye twitched slightly.
“N-no not r-really.” I answered getting off my bed and wondered over to my dresser and pulled out some nicer clothes.
“What time is the dinner tonight?” Hiro questioned.
“S-six, I believe.” I answered as a laid my clothes over my arm. “I-I’m going to g-go and get c-change.” I muttered and then walked out of the room to the bathroom.
‘Of course he put’s me in a room with someone who is the complete opposite of me.’ I sighed out loud as I wondered into the boys rest room. ‘I guess I’m going to have to deal with it.’ I thought to myself.
I changed into a white button up shirt, black vest with yellow trim on it, a red tie that I kept loose, black shorts, and navy blue shin high socks. I slipped my vans back on and went back to my room.
“Well someone is all dressed up for this dinner.” Hiro whistled as me and laughed light heartedly.
I went over to my bed and brought out my black boots with navy blue buckles on them and put them on. “I-I just want t-to make a g-good impression.” I answered and looked at the clock.
“You meet a girl didn’t you Hei.” Hiro smirked and walked over to me.
My face heated up and I looked away. “Ha! I knew it! Come on who’s the lucky girl?” He nudged me.
“I-It’s n-no one okay.” I said.
“Okay if you say so.” Hiro smiled and pulled out some nice clothes and went and changed. When he came back he was wearing a blue button up shirt and dark blue jeans with black shoes. “Should we head over to the dinning hall?” He asked me.
I nodded and stood up. I lead the way considering that I knew where everything was in the school. It was pretty empty when we got there so we sat down at one of the circle tables and waited. It wasn’t long for all the other students to begin piling into the dining hall. It filled up quickly but it was a pretty small school considering that this school was out in the middle of nowhere.
I looked out the window and wasn’t really paying attention to anything going on around me. ‘This is really strange…I don’t know why nothing has happened to me yea. I know I just probably jinxed myself though.’ I thought resting my head in the palm of my head.
“May I sit here?” I heard a familiar voice ask and I looked over to where the voice was going from, it was that Katara girl from earlier today.
“Of course you can Katara.” Hiro said happily and I just went back to looking out the window.
“So Katara do you have a roommate?” Hiro asked her.
“No I’m the only one in my room at the moment.” She replied back.
‘I knew I shouldn’t have thought anything.’ My stomach didn’t feel all that well and my head was throbbing.
“Oh have you met my roommate Hei Nightray?” Hiro asked and he nudged me.
I looked over at them and tried to focus on Katara but my head was pounding too much that I couldn’t do it so I looked down at my lap.
“Hei what’s wrong?” Hiro questioned placing a hand on my back.
I heard the doors open for the students to start getting food and I couldn’t take it. It felt like I was going to throw up. I stood up from the table, “E-excuse me.” I mumbled and ran out of the dining hall and through the crowd to the rest room.
I put my left hand on the counter top and coughed into my right hand, “I just had to think that this one was a dud.” I laughed a little to myself as I felt my legs give way and I fell to the floor. I couldn’t move, my body felt like it was on fire. I watched as my hair lightened to blonde. After a minuet or two of pain I finally went away and I was able to move my body again. I got up off the floor and was able to look at myself in the mirror. My eye’s widened when I saw what was staring back at me. I had messy blonde hair and bright green eyes. My hair had gotten a bit longer in the front and shorter in the back. I pulled at my hair and it was real. I was a blonde now, and by the look of my reflection I also obtained a bit of muscle to my body. “This isn’t me…” I muttered backing up a bit from the mirror. “What am I going to do? I can’t go back to my room. I can’t even go back to the table that Hiro and Katara are at to sit with them.” I looked at my reflection in a panic. “Doc, Doc should have an antidote to this.” I muttered to myself and ran out of the restroom and started towards Doc’s office.
“Doc!” I shouted slamming the door to his office behind me.
The person that was in the chair wasn’t Doc. It was a young man that looked to be around in his early 20’s with ebony black hair and his yellow eyes looked as if they were glowing.
“Who are you? Wait…Doc…that’s you isn’t it?” I stated.
I could tell that I was right, because he smiled at me. “Well don’t you look good Hei, I think that the potion did its job nicely.” Doc stated standing up from his chair and walking up to me. He was taller then usual. He was easily probably around 6’3” I had to look up to him a bit more then usual. He placed a hand on my shoulder. “By the way if you came looking for a antidote to this, I don’t have one. It will wear off don’t worry.” He said and walked out of his office leaving me in there alone.
“Wait…if this happened to me then… oh no.” He must have put the potion in the drink for the dinner. I ran out of his office and started running down that hall. If anything I could at least try to stop Katara and Hiro from drinking it. I ran into the Dining hall and kids were everywhere I couldn’t find Katara or Hiro anywhere. “Maybe they went back to the dorm.” I muttered and left the dining hall and started towards the dorms.
