A young soul reaper flailed as the captain of the 8th company hugged her from behind. "S-shunsui-sama!!" she exclaimed, her face turning bright red.
"You're so cute, Ran-chan! I love you so much." Shunsui said, hugging her tighter.
Ran blushed even more at his words.
Shunsui paused and looked around. His hug of death on Ran turned into a protective hold. Ran looked up at him in confusion.
"Shunsui-sa--?" Ran was then weighted down by an unusual spiritual pressure. Shunsui tightened his hold on her so she wouldn't fall.
"Ran, are you okay??" Shunsui asked, concerned.
Ran stared at the ground. Sweat dripped off of her forehead. Not being used to this pressure, she almost passed out. "I-I'm fine... S-shunsui-sama. Just... A little light headed."
Shunsui furrowed his eyebrows. He needed to protect Ran from whatever was coming.
Jenny popped out from behind a bare cherry tree. Shunsui carefully watched the young arrancar as she walked up to Shunsui.
'She can't be the one with this immense spiritual pressure.' Shunsui thought to himself.
Jenny smiled at Shunsui. "'Cuse meeee. Can you tell me where to go to find the head captain person~?"
Shunsui knew that something wasn't right. How is it that they managed to get this far without anyone warning everyone else through a hell butterfly?
Jenny's smile turned into a frown. Ran weakly looked at Jenny. "W-why... Why are you here, arrancar?"
Jenny looked at Ran with a blank expression. "My master and I are going to take over the soul society, of course." she blinked.
Shunsui took a step back. "Are you saying an Espada is here as well??"
Jenny nodded happily. "Uh-huh!! Yammy-sama is the greatest master ever!"
"And you're not gonna get in our way." Yammy said while coming into view.
Ran's eyes widened when she saw the giant espada. A huge wave of spiritual pressure rushed over her as he got closer. She passed out in Shunsui's arms.
"Ran!" Shunsui flash stepped to the walkway of the barracks and layed her in front of his quarters. "Don't worry, Ran-chan. I won't let them come near you." he kissed Ran's forehead and walked back over to Yammy and Jenny. "I'm afraid that i cannot let you two go any farther."
Yammy grinned. "That's what the last few enemies told us. And they turned into bloody pulps."
Shunsui looked up and sighed. "Can't we just talk this out, Espada-san? I would really hate to start a fight."
Yammy scoffed. "Afraid to lose?"
Shunsui smiled at the remark. "Of course not. I just believe that there are other ways for us to solve this problem."
"What problem? We just want to take over this pathetic place for lord Aizen."
Shunsui shook his head in disappointment. He slid off his kimono and walked back over to Ran, setting it next to her. He then looked back at the espada. "It looks like I have no choice."
Jenny stood off to the side. The guilt she felt in her chest was beginning to return...
Before the fight between Shunsui and Yammy started, a startled voice came from behind. "Jenny...?"
