((This is a story that I'm creating with my friend Jason <33 his character is Rein and mine is Jeni :3))
The stage is set on a night of fun and the beginning of two hearts colliding...
"Master Rein... Are you sure you want to be here?" a man dressed in all black asked a young man.
"Of course I'm sure! Who wouldn't want to be at a festival at night?" Rein said with a smile. He was also dressed in all black. A silver crown was placed on top of his head. His brunette hair was slghtly messy from the wind.
"But Master..." The servant said again. "What if it's not safe for you to be here?"
"You worry to much... You gotta learn how to have fun!" Rein grinned and bolted off into the crowd away from his servant. All he could hear is the faded shouts from him and the loud murmurs around him.
People he passed whispered amongst themselves. "Is that him?" "I believe it's him!" "We should stay on guard if it's true..."
Rein slowed to a stop when he reached the boardwalk. He looked over out onto the beach and the amusement rides below him. A smirk played around his lips. "I will someday rule this whole area. For now, I will leave them with their carefree fun." he chuckled.
Rein stood and watched over everything until a glitter of light caught his eye below him. With curiousity overcoming him, he started down the stairs towards the beach and rides.
A young girl with a bright golden crown sat at a table near the concession stands. The crowd around her couldn't help but gaze as they passed. She was surrounded by tall bodyguards and she wore a pink blouse with a black skirt. She overheard people mentioning her as the engaged princess of pure.
She blew her light brunette bangs out of her glasses. "Why can I not go on the rides, boys...?"
A blonde bodyguard with sunglasses looked at her and smiled. "It's because we want our princess to stay safe the night before the wedding. Princess Jeni. The prince would be devastated if anything happened to you."
Jeni puffed her cheeks and pouted. "But they're safe little rides... I don't need to be babysat like this all the time..."
The blonde frowned. "I know you're disappointed, Princess. But it's the King's orders."
Jeni sighed. "Daddy is too protective over me..."
The blonde sighed and pushed up his sunglasses. "Anyways, Princess, it's time for us to take you home."
Jeni frowned. "Alright..." she got up out of her seat and followed her bodyguards. She looked up at them to make sure they weren't paying attention. When she found her chance, she spun around and ducked between the two bodyguards behind her and ran off. "PRINCESS!!!" They yelled after her. Jeni ran until they were out of her hearing.
Jeni laughed happily. "I'm gonna have fun wether they like it or not...!!" before she decided to come to a stop, she ran into a boy around her age. They both fell backwards onto the sand.
Rein shook his head, not realizing his crown had fallen off onto the ground several feet away. "What the...?? Watch where you're go-" His sentence was cut off when he looked up at Jeni on the ground.
Jeni rubbed her head and fixed her crown. "Ooooucchhh.... I'm terribly sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was running." She looked up at Rein with apologetic eyes.
Rein felt his heart skip a beat and his cheeks heat up when she looked up. 'What is this feeling...?' he thought. 'I've never felt anything like it before...'
It wasn't before long that Rein noticed the crown. 'The Princess, eh?' he thought with a smirk. 'It seems my plans are coming together faster than expected.'
Jeni blinked at Rein as he became lost in his thoughts. She leaned over and poked his shoulder. "Um... Are you okay?"
Rein blinked and stared at Jeni. Not realizing that she was watching him. "U-uh... Yes. I'm perfectly fine." he got an idea and stood up, holding his hand out for the princess'. "Would you care to join me for a few rides, my Princess?" he gave Jeni a sincere smile.
Jeni's eyes sparkled, which made Rein's heart beat faster. "I would love to join you, ...um. I'm sorry. But I don't think you've told me your name yet." she said as she took Rein's hand.
Rein chuckled softly and helped Jeni up to her feet. "My apologizes, Princess. You can call me Rein."
Jeni smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you then, Rein. And, if you don't mind, I would prefer it if you call me Jeni."
Rein nodded. "As you wish, Jeni." he returned the smile and lead her off towards the rides.
People stared at the two as they passed. Jeni was afraid that rumors might start and spread, but she didn't worry, knowing she could explain everything. All she wanted to do was to have fun at the festival, and she found someone that would help her with that small wish.
Something about being with Rein made Jeni uneasy. She didn't understand the feeling. 'I'm probably just nervous about being someone I've never met before.' she reassured herself.
Rein lead Jeni onto all the rides at the festival. An hour later, they finished up their night with some cotton candy. Jeni smiled as she took a bite of her pink cotton candy. "Thank you for the wonderful night, Rein. You made me very happy."
Rein smiled back. "But of course. Anything for the beautiful princess of our kingdom." Finally, he had the princess by herself and far away from her bodyguards. But something was stopping him from revealing himself and taking off with her...
They heard a shout from the crowd and Rein's servant pushing his way through. "My Lord!! There you are!"
Jeni raised a brow at Rein. "He called you 'My Lord'... Are you of royal descendant, as well?"
Rein smirked. "You could say that..."
Jeni smiled. "Well if that is true, I would love to invite you to my wedding tomorrow. I hope you'll be able to come."
Rein nodded just as his servant showed up. "Dark Lord... I finally found you. You can't just run off like that. Your father will be furious if I ever lose you." he bowed to Rein then looked at Jeni and straightened. "Hello Princess Jeni." he said, quite confused.
Jeni's eyes widened at the servant and then at Rein. "D-dark L-lord...??" she stood up quickly, her chair getting knocked down behind her.
Rein chuckled and walked around the table, taking Jeni's hand in his. "That is correct, my Dear. And I will be seeing you at your lovely wedding tomorrow. But before I leave the Princess..." He pulled Jeni closer to him and placed a kiss upon her lips. Surprisingly, she blushed brightly and her heartbeat sped up.
Rein pulled himself away and grinned. "A kiss stolen from the Princess of that wretched Prince!"
Jeni stumbled back a few steps, unable to return her heartbeat to normal. Her face stayed bright red as she stood in shock and surprise.
"Until we meet again, my Princess...." Rein handed Jeni a black rose and stole a kiss from her cheek before leaving with his servant.
The Princess stood there and stared in the direction of where Rein just was. Her bodyguards found her momentarily, still frozen. "PRINCESS!! are you okay?!" they ran over to her.
Jeni nodded and looked down at the rose. "Yes... I'm fine." she closed her eyes and breathed in. "I'm ready to go home now. I am sorry for causing you any trouble."
The bodyguards nodded and started to lead the Princess away from the festival.
Rein watched them from the boardwalk, replaying his actions in his head. 'What came over me...? All I meant to do was try and kidnap the princess from the prince. Now... All I want to do is steal her away for myself.' his servant shook him away from his thoughts. "It's time to go, Master." Rein nodded with a smirk. "Of course..." he followed his servant.
Jeni quietly followed her bodyguards. 'W-what is happening? My heart is racing and I can't stop thinking about that... Oh... I hope I'll feel better when I see the Prince tomorrow...'
The blonde looked back at Jeni. "Be sure to rest up well tonight, Princess. You have a big day tomorrow."
Jeni nodded with a small smile. "Of course..."
And the night ends on confusion and the beginning of a small fire in two unknowing lover's hearts.
