((It's taking me so long to work on this I don't understand why. But here's a preview of a story I'm trying to write.
Chero I'll try to finish it as soon as I can. It's at 18 pages now but I keep getting bursts of motivation and then i lost it sob))
Our fairytale begins on a night like any other. Two young girls are sat down in front of a mother with a book in her hand. It was common for the two to get stories read to them each night. They were still young enough for it, of course. Even though they were completely different, they still shared the same favorite story. “Princess and the Frog” was the story. The young girls adored it. So much so that they had heard it pretty much once a week before bed. But the story for the night was almost over, and the girls were ready to sleep once it was finished.
“The frog pleaded for the princess to break the spell that was placed upon him. The princess’s heart inside her melted with his plea, so she picked up the frog and agreed. She brought the frog closer to her lips and kissed it. But of course, because of the spell, the frog started transforming, and he turned into a tall and handsome prince. He thanked the princess and asked for her hand in marriage for saving him. And they both lived happily ever after. The end.” The older woman sighed and closed to the book, smiling at the two girls tucked into bed. “Ready for bed you two?”
“But mommy! I wanna hear the story again!” One of the brunettes cried.
“Same!” The other grinned, hopping out from her blankets. “I wanna meet a prince and make him fall in love with me~” She twirled, only to end up falling back onto the bed again from getting wrapped up in the blankets.
“But, is it worth it to kiss a frog?” The first asked, making a face.
“Of course! I’d kiss a hundred frogs if I could get a prince~!”
“Alright, girls, I think that’s enough fantasy for one night.” The older woman chuckled. “Jenny, honey, it’s way past your bedtime, dear. And I’m sure it’s past Chero’s as well.”
“Nuh-uh! Mommy lets me stay up til reeeeeal late!”
“I’m sure she does.” Jenny’s mother laughed, tucking the older back into her blankets. “But it’s time for Jenny to go to bed. And that means you need to be responsible for me and help her go to bed now, okay?”
“Okay!” Chero agreed, getting comfortable again. “I wanna be real mature so my future prince will like me!”
“I want a prince too, but not if I have to kiss a frog.” The younger brunette said, yawning and setting under the blankets.
“Well. I won’t keep you two away from your dreams. Sleep tight, young ones.” The mother kissed the two on the forehead, leaving the room and shutting the door behind her.
“Jenny.” Chero whispered once the younger girl’s mother was gone.
The younger was almost asleep, but still responsive. “Hm?”
“You have a dream, right?”
“Yeah.” Jenny smiled, hugging her teddy bear closer to her.
“My dream is to meet a prince and turn him into the man of my dreams~ What’s your dream?”
“I wanna be an artist. The bestest artist the world has ever known!”
The girls giggled and talked for a bit longer until the youngest fell asleep, causing the older to fall into her dreams for the night as well.
