I could hear the thunderstorm outside. It already came. Through the clouds were gathering and rain began, I never knew that they would come this fast. It was coming closer and closer. And then they came... I needed to hide, quick. Why, why they have come for me?
I could remember it clearly. From when I escaped from the prison, I was chased by these two demons. They wanted to hurt me, I think. Or maybe they just wanted something from me. But what? From one time they stopped and they said they have to go and check on one girl. By that time, I escaped to this old mansion, but I wasn't sure if this was secure place to stay. I entered and encounter some people. There was a small dog there. I tried playing with him, but he attacked me there. I killed him, but then a little girl and a boy came to me. They were really sad and started crying. Obviously that this dog was theirs. But I didn't want to hurt him...
In that moment, the boy attacked me with a pole. From the time I was born, I was cursed. I was cursed for my reflexes. For my aggressive reflex to kill anything that dares to hurt me or anyone around me. I couldn't control myself and so in this moment, I pulled my gun out and shot at the boy. He fell all covered in blood. He was still alive crawling on the floor towards his little sister. I knew that there is no way for him to survive anymore and I wanted to ease his wounds. I shot two more bullets at him and killed him. His sister was shocked and couldn't move. She cried and cried over him... I couldn't let her to live with anger and hate. I couldn't let her to live with that sadness over his brother. So I moved towards her and shot a quick bullet in her head... God, please forgive me...
And now they are here. They probably want to take me to hell, I know it. But I can't go, not now. I have to redeem myself from my sins. I need to become divine and not a hellish creature. I can't go down, not now. I moved behind a table and waited for them. I could hear as they kicked the door. A blitz could be heard and the footsteps as they were walking inside the mansion. The were walking slowly, as they were looking around the room. There was a man and girl. The man looked eager and he hold... a spear. But not an ordinary spear. This one was covered with rubies and had a flame glow. It was really big and looked sharp. The girl didn't hold nothing as she didn't need. Then I hear something...
"Merlox, put that spear down. We don't need it here!" The girl demon was looking at him with a serious look.
"Fine... devilish woman. But this might get dangerous. That guy killed more than fifty people brutally. He is worse than an average demon."
"I know that and that is why we need him. He will be a great ally to us!" The girl demon said that and turned her sight at the table behind I was. She just clapped with her hands and the table just turned to dust.
I find myself looking face to face with them. How... did the knew... No way, this is unnatural. There is no way. The began walking towards me with a bright smile on their face. I turned behind myself and began running through the main hallway. I couldn't see them anymore. Phew, they are gone...
And just when I felt a slight relief, I could see something coming of the nearby wall. Black wings... That is, the demon from the entrance. But how, did he just vanished or something, how is this even possible? I turned and looked at a nearby room. I slashed the door and came inside. I moved in the bathroom and all nervous hold me gun towards the door waiting for him to come.
I was scared. I don't want to die yet. But I will not go down that easily. Those demons can suck it there, there is no way that I just lay my gun down. After I said that to myself, I could feel a chilling touch behind me. The demon girl was touching my neck with her cold tongue.
"You are really scared. I like that. This way it will be easier for us? She said that and started laughing. I quickly turned and pointed my gun at her and started shooting. The first bullet she dodged, but the second one hit her arm. In that moment she turned and kicked me in the face with her leg that hard, that I moved through the door and crashed on the floor. I was bleeding, but I still was alright. I tried to get up, but someone put her leg on me.
"Easy there boy. Just calm down, will ya?" I turned my head and looked and saw just a girl. Who is she now? In that moment the male demon came in.
"Veronica, are you alright?" He asked as he cared, but still was looking with his chilling eyes.
"Yeah I am, no worries. My wounds will quickly heal by itself. Now boy, hear us out!" She stood in front of me and was looking down with a face will of anger, but too with satisfaction.
"You did good. You really are strong and smart as they say. And you don't hesitate to shoot. You shall make a great ally." I was confused. What have they meant by that. I still couldn't move, that girl was holding me to strong.
"As you heard, boy. You will be an ally of us. I think that I heard that you wanted to make up for your sins." The male demon said as he was looking me with a bright smile and his arms crossed.
"I-Is that really true... Will I working for you find my true path!" The girl burst out laughing.
"Well, of course. Just look at me. I find my own fun! By the way, my name is Hime." At that moment she left me and actually wanted that we shake hands.
"I am Merlox and this behind you is my partner, Veronica. We have come for you... Leon!"
"I will then join you, if that is really the truth! I don't have other choice, do I. Well then, what should I do, or better yet, kill?"
They other ones were still laughing, but this time it was of satisfaction as they found...
