My Name is Asher Lev...GO READ IT NOW!

So...I just finished the book called My Name is Asher Lev. It was a school requiered reading, so I thought "Well, this will be boring...but since I get to pick a book, I'll pick something that interest me, let me read something about an artist".

All I have to say is that this book was really amazing and made me re-evaluate myself as an artist and all the power that being an artist implies (Just look at the quote that I added to my introduction of this world...I love that quote now ~<3).

This book is something that I feel everyone (or atleast, every artist) should read. It talks alot about having to seperate yourself from the world; to be an artist you have to be an artist first, everything else comes second. Uhm...I'm rambling at this point, but I positively loved the book XD. (and it made me cry...although I don't think that's to hard to do...but I seriously felt Asher's pain and was fighting what was to come in the end...can't explain, it contains spoilers :3).

I'm sorry that I've wasted your time with this little mini-rant, but whenever I finish a book that just really manages to speak to me, I have to tell someone about it, and since school hasn't started yet, you, my poor Otaku friends, will have to suffer through my ramblings.

I bid you all farewell and hope you take my advice and read this book...it really is amazing. :3

Ryu is Currently Away on an Art Hiatus, Please Leave a Message After the Tone *Toooooooone*

Yup, you read that right, I am headed off on an art hiatus!

Now, when I say art hiatus, I don't mean that I'm going to stop drawing, I just mean that I'm going to stop posting stuff (except for maybe in scraps so that I can chronicle my learning prcess of laaaaaame...and I'm pretty sure no one will pay enough attention to look at my horrible learning pictures XD)

Now why the sudden art hiatus you may ask? Well, it's not really sudden...I've been thinking about it for awhile. I was looking back at some of my older art and I feel like I haven't really improved (or I may have even gone a few steps backward X.X) so, I want to dedicate myself until I feel that I've really improved...which means I probly will not be posting anything for some time ^^;

Oh yeah, I'll still post for like someone's birthday or a special occasion, so still keep me informed on when your birthday is coming up! :3 And I'll still be around to comment on your guys work and talk if you wanna ^^

And now I'm off to go work on improving my very crappy drawing and coloring skills, good-bye!

It's a New Sunny Not Creepy Day~

Hello there one and all! How are you all doin?...Don't mind me, I'm just gonna sit here 83

...NO, Of course I'm not stalling on doing my summer reading and chior music, whatEVER are you implying?!

Humdedum, so yesterday I had to wake up early to go get my parking permit for school, which the charged us 70! dollars for...that is serious highway robery. And then today I had to get up early to take my brother to school so that he could take his test to get his driveing permit...I feel like a little chaufer, although I supposed I should get used to it XD...I don't like getting up early -_-
