Salem, the witch city...2010. A year when nobody believes in magic anymore. Witch trials aren't practiced anymore...but wizards and witches are still around.
You see, witches and wizards in this modern times act like normal people. They get jobs, they go to school and...live normally. Except for the fact that they possess magical powers. Most of them practice magic secretly or attend to magic classes in the Blackwood Academy at a young age before graduating and start practicing on their own.
Not all witches and wizards are bad at all. Four witches stand out as Nature Keepers, some wizards use magic to determine what really happened in crime scenes and many witches work as nurses and use their magic to heal...you name it. However, not all of them are good either...and some are bent of getting revenge of mortals for hunting down their ancestors.
As for the mortals? Oh. Well, most of them have stopped believing in witchcraft, but a few of them, however, are still bent on proving that witches and wizards still roam Salem, and pretend to hunt them down once more.

"Hey, I'm home!"Nicole yelled as she ran into her aunt's house. She was greeted by a tiny boy. "Nikki!"Elliot yelled, glomping his sister. "Oof. Elliot, get off me, you little freak!"she yelled, and put him back on his feet. Aggie came out of the kitchen. "Why are you two fighting?"she asked, and kissed Nicole's head. She whined. "Aunt!"she protested. Aggie just laughed. "So, are you going to Elani's?"she asked. Nicole nodded. "Yup. I'mma come back tomorrow afternoon, okay?"Nicole answered. Aggie smiled. "Okay, you take care, Nikki,"she said and left to go back into the kitchen. Elliot hopped around erratically. "Where are you going? Where are you going?"he asked happily.
"Elliot, stop! I'm going to go shopping with Elani."
Elliot's face fell. "Ew. Shopping...well, have fun sis!"he hugged her and left toward his room. Nicole smiled. Well, Elliot seemed to hate girl's stuff...like most seven year old boys. Nicole ran upstairs to grab her backpack and shoved her purse into it. After a few minutes she went outside and skipped her way toward Elani's place, until she bumped into someone.
"Hi, hippie girl,"Janna smirked evilly. Nicole rolled her eyes. "Hi Janna, still not over my brother?"Nicole answered back. Janna blushed, Nicole had hit a sore spot; knowing that Janna had dated her older brother, Joe, and then he'd broken up with her. "Still are with the goth?"Janna answered. Nicole blushed this time. "I'm not with Keir, Janna. Maybe your freaky mind might think so, but..."she cut off the sentence. Janna smirked. "Well, dear freak, stay out of my way,"Janna answered before making her way into a grocery store. Nicole rolled her eyes and ran the rest of the way toward Elani's house.

Past: Janna is a Blackwood student who secretly practices Dark Magic. She's Nicole's rival in mainly everything, and they despise each other. Janna used to date Nicole's older brother Joe and he broke up with her when he suspected she was getting into Dark Magic.
Friends: Not many, she's not social.
Enemies: Nicole (she doesn't like Elani and Keir either, but she purposefully ignores them)
Mate: None
Fighting style: Uses dark magic.

Sooo I made two more characters. I'm thinking the limit could be five, but that depends on the number of characters you can keep up with. And ya, Janna would be the antagonist.
The bell rang, ending class. After what seemed like forever! Elani and Nicole stood, chattering while they gathered
books,
"At least you were able to even make a Ki-ball!" Nicole said, pouting.
"Ki-Sphere." Elani corrected, shuffling papers into a folder
"Oh, whatever Lani!" Nicole snapped, shoving her book into her bag.
She started to storm the room, but Elani soon caught up to her.
"So," she said, sounding excited, "What did your Aunt say? Can you spend the night?"
Nicole grinned too, and nodded.
"Yeah!"
Elani grinned wider. This was going to be AWESOME! They planned to hit the town, shopping for halloween costumes for
the party at Blackwood. Then, pig out on pizza and watch movies all night!
"Hey girls." Keir said, seemingly appearing from nowhere. Nicole and Elani jumped, startled. Keir only smirked at them.
"Hey!" Elani said,
"Don't do that!" She hit him playfully. Keir looked confused,
"Do what?" he said innocently, "What did I do?"
Elani sighed dramically. Honestly, brothers could be so annoying.
"What were you guys talking about?" He asked, "Or is it girly stuff?" He grinned teasingly.
"We're talking about the sleepover tonight." Nicole told him, "we're going to go costume shopping!"
Keir grinned,
"Sounds fun." He said, "What are you going to be?"
Nicole shrugged, "I dunno..."
"Well," Keir said softly, "I'm sure you'll look great whatever you go as."
Elani rolled her eyes. God, it was so obvious Keir liked Nicole! Everyone seemed to know - except Keir and Nicole. He
should just ask her out already and be done with it! But, that wasn't Keir's way. He took romance way to seriously it
was scary!
"I don't have work tonight," Keir said suddenly, "Mind if I tag along?"
Elani raised an eyebrow,
"Um, Didn't you say you didn't have enough money to buy a costume this year?" she asked.
Keir glared at her, evilly,
"It's none of your business what I do with my money, Elani." he said icily,
"Do not act like Thomas and Heather."
Elani cringed slightly. Keir only ever compared her to their parents when he was really mad!
