Well, I wasn't there when it all happened, so my advice is limited. But I tried to put myself in your shoes, and I think it all depends on the friend.
Is she a long life close friend? Or just someone relatively close to you? If you feel she will do the same thing again, you might not want to consider her a friend.
As to the guy, I don't know what to say. You could try to win him back, but that wouldn't really prove anything.
