I'll be using this place as my own personal blog, art dump, and anything else I deem it necessary to be placed here. This is where I can spill all my overloading thoughts out to, so maybe, just maybe, I won't be so insane. Hopefully at least. I enjoy Art as a genre in it's whole. This means music, sculpting, painting, drawing, poems, stories, etc. I also enjoy entertainment, but to a much limited cone of enjoyment. Mostly just games, manga/anime, and the occasional movie.

So this is the place for all that. I hope you guys enjoy my works, and when required, have something helpful to say.

Minor Mistake

What I was aiming for when I was going to give everyone posting status, was that I thought it was required for you to be able to post comments. Apparently I was wrong. Thanks for following me though guys, I still appreciate that :D

Requests?

What's this? Me, taking requests? I suppose I could give it a try. I've been meaning to get back into art, and what not.

My main art style is vector art as far as anything is concerned, but I also do perspective drawings, mostly of buildings, or abstract stuff.

If you'd like me to do a request, a picture I could use as an example, or a detailed description, would be nice.

Hopefully I won't suck to bad. :p

PS: Here's a sample of my work

On MMO's, And Why They are Unbalanced

I'm sure most of you have played a Massive Multiplayer Online game before. Be it Runescape, Gaia Online, World of Warcraft, or some other obscure game. Now, what I'm going to rant about today, is that most of these Free to Play MMO's that are out their are biased, and unbalanced, in the favor of those who pay money to play them. I understand that F2P MMO's need a source of revenue to stay afloat, and that allowing players to buy items is a great source for that required money. However, one MAJOR problem I have with this strategy, is how they are implementing it.

Take for instance, a F2P MMO I happen to enjoy, S4 League. Like many other F2P MMO's, it has an Item Mall, where the players can either spend in game money (Pen), or out of game cash (Dollars, Pounds, etc.) That, I have no problem with at all. The problem, is when you get in to the out of game cash spending. With that cash, you obtain AP, which is later spent in game, to acquire weapons, armor, and various other things in-game, that all help your character. The problem is, these AP weapons and armor are over-powered, always to the point of being unbalanced. If someone comes into your room, and their character is stacked to the brim with AP items, you might as well just give up. I've had it happen to me a few times, and every time, they gloat, and flaunt, their "power" that they've payed money, to achieve. They didn't have to work for it, they didn't have to rise up the ranks of the game to get that power. It was just handed to them.

Now, I know most of you are going to say that that's the only way players will buy items, but that's also the problem. We as players shouldn't have to be easily tempted into buying rigged weapons, just to support the games we love to play. I, for one, will never do such thing. I may buy a nice little costume, that in no way affects the in-game stats of my character, just the appearance, but I will not buy a +10 Twin Blade that lasts indefinitely until I have to recharge its energy, which is able to be done with in-game Pen. I will not buy a piece of armor that raises my defense to unimaginable levels if you were to try and obtain that with in-game Pen, which is actually impossible.

The whole situation is like playing a game of rock, paper, scissors. Paper, in this case, would be the "noobs", who just started out, having no skill, or idea of how to perform some of the higher skilled techniques, or tactics. Scissors, would be the "pro" players, who have played the game for a while, and have masters most, if not all of these higher skilled techniques. And Rock, works the way rocks work in real life. If you throw a rock at a piece of paper, guess what, you have a hole in the paper. Rocks, are the AP users. Overpowered.

Now, on the other side of the coin, are Pay to Play MMO's. Like World of Warcraft, and Final Fantasy XIV. You're already paying to play the game, so there are less (if any) of these kinds of items to acquire. You've probably never heard of one of your friends complaining about someone on WoW coming up and completely wrecking their character with some overpowered item, which can only be obtained by spending a little extra money.

To sum this all up. I think what needs to be done as far as F2P MMO's are concerned, is that they need to stray away from overpowered items that can only be bought with out of game cash. I would be perfectly content with costumes that only affect appearance, or maybe a boost in EXP gain, or even in the gain of in-game money. Items that affect stats, need to be left to in-game acquired content, that is available to anyone.

Yay! I have followers :D

And, I'd also like to say that all followers will have Guest Posting allowed to them. Just remember though, if I feel that you're not helping my little space of theO, then I reserve the right to remove your guest posting privileges. But it shouldn't come down to that right? We're all otakus here, we should all be able to get along.

But yes, thank you guys for following me. Kirby approves :D

To start things off

So I suppose, to start things off here, I'd like to introduce everyone to myself. I was born on June 3rd, 1990, in the United States. I don't enjoy it here, and I hardly ever have. Although, I can't say that my entire stay here hasn't had it's benefits. I've met some wonderful people, had some experiences here, that I would like to never forget, or lose. I'm extremely opinionated when it comes to politics, religion, or any other "heavy" material that fits up in that category of subjects. I'll speak my mind, and I don't care who I hurt half the time when I do, when talking about those subjects, and as a result, I try not to talk about them. I would rather that confrontation not be started, and preferably avoided at all costs. Most of that, could probably attributed to my diagnoses of Asperger's.

On a different note, in the introduction I only gave a vague mention of my likes, and no mention at all of my dislikes. So, let's get started then, shall we? As far as manga, or anime, is concerned, I enjoy(ed) reading Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Soul Eater, xXxHolic, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles, MAR, and many other manga. I enjoy(ed) watching Code Geass, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Digimon (Seasons 1-3 so far), .hack//SIGN, and others as well. I'll probably get a list up of everything I've ever read, and watched, and whether or not I liked, or disliked them.

As far as books go, I actually need to read more of them, but of what I have read, I enjoy(ed), Harry Potter, The Clockwork Angel (and I'm looking forward to the rest of The Infernal Devices series), as well as The Mortal Instruments Series, The Chronicles of Narnia (need to finish that), and other books. (Again, I'll make a full list at a later date.)

Movies, well, not many I know that much. I've slowly lost faith in movies over the years. They're slowly losing their quality in my opinion. Tron Legacy, Scott Pilgrim, and Sucker Punch were gems in all the trash we've been getting lately. And I couldn't even begin to tell you older movies I've liked, as I've forgotten most of them. (Let's just make this "[List]" be the note that I'll start typing for when I'll make a list of something at a later date.)

I've probably left a few things out, but I'll add them, and their lists, at a later date, as always.

I also have some art (and other random things), all located on a photobucket,
http://s412.photobucket.com/albums/pp206/AethonElocine/ , enjoy. That will also be what I'll be posting everything on, as it's what I've been using up till this point, and I'd rather not get rid of it.

So for now, I'll leave all of you with that small snippet of who I am. Feel free to post your welcomes, and your hellos, and your recommendations of other stuff you think I may enjoy. I look forward to this (hopefully long) time I'll share with all of you here.
