The Key to her Heart:
So much had happened to her. So much. All the bad blocked out the good. She can’t remember anymore what it feels like to be loved. Her father was a cold and heartless man. Her mother had died when she was little. Her brother was in love with his “dolls” and ignored her now. He had only ever been just a distant friend. Her other brother, her youngest brother was a cold murderer.
It made sense that she should feel this way.
But still there was a key to her heart. And it was in the hands of a lazy ninja from the leaf village.
But…
…why him?
She had never made much attention to him but she had realized this fact on her last mission she had with him.
Then Kankuro had gotten mad at her and kicked her out of the hotel room they were staying in.
She had no where to go.
But to him, so she did.
She landed softly on the ground next to where he was laying. There was a soft sigh as he turned to her.
“Troublesome-“
He stopped as soon as he saw the tears threatening to come out. He pulled her swiftly into his arms. He buried his face in her hair and murmured her name softly. She placed her arms around his neck. She let go, not caring if he saw or not, and cried. She let out everything that had been bothering her since her mother died. The words poured out of her. Most of it was incomprehensible even to her ears. But he laid there, nodding and listening, until she slipped.
“A-and I-i th-think I love you but I-I’m scared-“
He tensed up. She flinched.
She got up immediately mumbling an apology.
She turned and began to run.
“Wait, Temari, wait!”
Those simple words turned her heart to mush, but why?
It didn’t matter any more, he was coming now.
“Relax.”
His simple command she wanted so much to obey but couldn’t.
He wrapped his arms around her and began to murmur into her ear.
“I was surprised, that was all. I didn’t think you would love me too.”
He leaned forward and kissed her
I love shikatema and always wondered if Temari is really as tough on the inside as she is on the outside
