Something random you should know: I LOVE it when people draw the character's personality is intact(in other words, unchanged)~ it really gives the picture a better feel because they act the same as they were made to be.
Hello everyone! I have no idea what possessed me to write this post, but it seems that it's kind of become a habit of mine to do so when something is on my mind that I wish to share with you all or just vent out. This is nothing negative, at least not really anyway, but still >.<
I'm having one of those moments where I REALLY wish improvement could happen overnight haha. It's not the best feeling in the world when you want to do an art trade with/draw for someone, but feel like you're really not good enough(and/or you really aren't) to be able to do so. >.< It's kind of a kick in the head though- sort of like motivation for me to work harder I guess. I have no clue! But has this ever happened to one of you guys? It just makes me want to draw and draw and draw until I'm at that point of satisfaction enough to be on a similar level with that other artist.
I think it's kind of motivation/inspiration in a way! But I swear, since it's the new year I will work hard! >.< *air punches*

Happy New Year theOtaku!!<33 I love you guys so much and I hope you all are having a fabulous time on this New Year's Day! I can't believe it's already 2012 haha, so much has happened in 2011 and now it's a new start once again! I can't help but feel excited each time the new year rolls around ^^
So resolutions from last year, let's see how I did!
- Continue to work on improving my art! During my hiatus, I finally came to the understanding of challenging myself to improve myself against myself only, and not compare to anyone else! I really want to go far and see what I can do!
-I haven't completely come into this state of mind yet, but I definitely understood the idea of challenging myself and I tried that a little for 2011 ^^
It's a start and I'm happy for that!
- Get into shape! At least..more into shape anyway xD
-Yes!~ Not at my goal yet, but on my way ^^
- Figure out the meaning of the word "appreciation". It seems that I still don't understand it yet according to my parents =/
-I think I understand it a LITTLE more now, but I've got a ways to go!
- Don't fail college xD
-I haven't so far!! All A's and an A- for my first semester and I'm happy! ^^
- MORE ART. 'nuff said xD
-More than 2010, at least! haha I think I need to work harder though xD
Resolutions for 2012!<3
- Focus on myself more! I need to learn to take care of myself and understand myself better little by little, both in art, health and life in general!
- Work harder on experimenting, backgrounds and a variety of poses! And post more art in general~!
- Perform at one Open Mic for Singer-Songwriter club at my university!
- Set little goals so I can achieve big ones on the way!
- EDIT: Create a picture worthy of 100+ votes! >.< I doubt I'm ever going to get that high of a number anytime soon, but hey it can't hurt to dream right? haha
- SHOW MY APPRECIATION TO YOU ALL MORE!<3 I feel like I've been taking some of the people I know for granted, and I have to work harder on being less selfish and lazy >.<
Things that happened to me in 2011:
-Got into my first issue with the DMV Office xD
-Went to Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park and the Grand Canyon for the first time!
-Flew on a plane by myself for the first time!(to Korea at that!)
-Learned to play piano more by ear
-Completed my first semester in college!
-Drew my first sketched lineart pic and first monochrome color pic!
-Got into Glee xD
-Crushed on a guy I totally did not expect to crush on xD
-Made many new friends and learned to appreciate the subtle things on theOtaku and DA much more!
-Beat Yiazmat on FFXII!
-Talked to and became friends with several of my favorite artists-->gained a whole new perspective on how to interact with people!
And a whole bunch of other stuff I believe but I'm going to be going for forever if I go down the whole list xD I also watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows yesterday and I saw New Year's Eve a while back(as well as Breaking Dawn part 1 LOL)!
Thank you everyone for a FANTASTIC 2011! I've got a picture coming up for you all soon, and after all gifts are submitted for the SS event I shall have the list posted as well of all participants/their pairings and respective gifts!

Gone back and read old posts and comments on your Worlds/myOtaku?
Especially the ones where your friends were there for you when you needed them the most?
I decided to go back and revisit some old posts to remind me of things I had begun to lose sight of, and I have got to say once again that I am so very lucky and grateful for the people I know. It truly is amazing how many wonderful people I have met and continue to meet on this site. Words can hurt someone forever, but they can also change someone's world in an incredibly positive way.
The year is coming to a close and I wanted to say thank you SO much to everyone before I post my New Year's resolutions on New Year's eve. ^^ Take care!<3

Hello everyone! ^^ I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!!<3 I had a really nice one with my family and friends of my family(aka neighbors lol)~! There were actually quite a few gifts that I got and I was very surprised haha! I guess I'll list off what I received?
-Boots(Korrie/Grey/Rampage)! <3 My favorite gift out of all of them...because I really wanted them so bad when I saw them at the Black Friday sale(where I bought my first pair of boots ever) and I didn't want to ask for them then because I felt really bad about asking >.< I really would rather my family save money instead of spending it on me haha.
-Glee DVD(Season 1)<3 I haven't seen ANY of the Glee episodes from Season 1 even though I love the music from it, so I was happy about this ^^
-Fuzzy slippers<3 ('nuff said haha! They are REALLY warm, plus they are red with little black ribbons on the top!)
-Gator iPhone case(which I needed soo badly haha! I'm paranoid of breaking my phone xD)
-Jewelry Box<3 (which I also REALLY needed haha)
It was overall just a fabulous Christmas ^^ I didn't get as much as many people have, I'm sure, but I'm SO grateful for the stuff that I did get! And most of all, I got to spend Christmas with my dad at home! So I'm VERY happy ^^ plus the Christmas lunch we had over at my neighbor's house was delicious!<3 It really was an incredible Christmas. <3
Anyway, in the art realm, I'm STILL working on my SS gift my gosh...dsakhgsalkg I'm trying to make it look really nice because I REALLY like how it's looking, but my style/ability to color isn't developed enough and I just don't know how to achieve the look I want T__T (hence it's taking forever...)
In any case, I really hope my person likes my gift...>.< Here's to hoping! I should finish by tonight if all goes well! @__@
Other than that, I've LOVED seeing everyone else's gifts for the Secret Santa, and I couldn't be happier with the turnout and success of the event!<3 It's just so exciting and fun being in such a caring community of people ^^ This is really why I love theO~ it's much less overwhelming than DA any day haha. So many kind people! ^^
And I guess that's all for me! New Year's is coming up soon, so I guess I'd better prepare some resolutions soon! Take care everyone and I hope you all had the best Christmas ever!<3

Ah fail 2011 art summary >.<
The year was all about experimentation for me... I went into this year with two things in mind: Experimenting and consistency.
Did I achieve either? Not really. xD
But I did try to experiment with a number of things, as you can probably tell from this. None of the drawings really look alike in terms of media and some minor details except maybe the pencil ones.
I can happily say that I'm pretty comfortable with my pencil style though, so now I have a base to work with for my pencil art. ^^
In the realm of color...no progress in the realm of how comfortable I am. T__T
I tried mixing pencil/CG this year for the first time, and I think I can say that my colored pencil skills have improved, but other than that, I can't say much. T___T
I will work harder for 2012! >.<
Oh and the year isn't over yet! I've still got a Secret Santa gift and hopefully another pic or two to post before the year ends! >.< Here goes! Take care everyone~!
