Hello everyone! My word this week has been so long, I felt like I haven't been on in ages xDD *super hugs everyone* I hope you all have been well!
So I never told you all the results of Districts which was on Monday! Turns out, I made it to Regionals~! I placed first in the individuals for Regional-qualifiers for my third year in a row so yeah I'm relatively happy haha.
I know that I'm supposed to feel super priveleged and all for having made it, but truth be told, I was actually just so relaxed that I tried NOT to go to Regionals OTL. So really I didn't want to go xD Reason being: I'm absolutely gonna be swamped with homework this weekend and because this weekend is a "no homework weekend" so we can work on our 4000-word Extended Essays, all the teachers are making the due dates of their assignments/projects/test dates the most convenient time possible: next Tuesday OTL. And well, Regionals is next Monday. And it's in Daytona Beach: 2 hours from my house. How long does it take to finish 18 holes? Roughly 6 hours(because of the group size). My tee time? 10:40am.
Which means I would be getting home at oh I don't know...9:30pm? Since my coach likes to stop for dinner *sigh*.
So knowing the situation I'd be getting myself into, I was actually planning on not going because I talked to my course coordinator at my school and she said that since Monday was a TOK day(which is like..an outside class but not really), then it would be best if I didn't miss because credits from TOK days go towards my diploma.
But you won't believe it..my coach was SO adamant about me going to Regionals, she called up THE PRINCIPAL AND MY COORDINATOR to MAKE them find a way for me to be excused for that day. Oh my word. Furthermore, she told me that if I didn't go, she AND the school MIGHT get fined for it. Which is absolutely ridiculous and doesn't make sense because she is basically not giving me a choice even though I'M the one who qualified. She even said "And even after all of that, if you're STILL not thinking of going, well you'd better think twice." I felt like I was being threatened and I just cried because she yelled at me over the phone and put me in SUCH a horrible position.
I had to talk to my dad about it for an hour to figure something out. LOL and do you know what he suggests? He says "Well think of going to Regionals as being 'community service' for your school. So do some community service by playing 9 holes(which takes about 2 hours), then fake getting a shoulder cramp or something, and go home with Mom early!" haha.
And I seriously might have to because getting home at 9:30pm with a MASSIVE load of assignments due the following day is not my cup of tea. Especially when I have a 4000 word essay that still needs finishing which will keep me from working on those other assignments.
WOW long spiel you guys, sorry about that xDD But yeah the complexity of my situation is...well, blah. *sigh* But that's okay! I just remember that in the end we ALWAYS find some way to manage, and even if it may kill me, I know I'll make it through =)
In the art area..hm...well this week was ABSOLUTELY awful..I had pretty much no extra time to make drawing this week. I am almost finished linearting another picture though! I'm so excited to finally start coloring and try some new things out ^^ Although lately I seem to be having a slight problem..what do you do when you WANT to draw, but you can't think of anything? I guess it's an art block of sorts, but I'm wondering if maybe I'm just KEEPING myself from drawing because I keep wanting to improve so much xD Maybe I oughta relax a little haha. Does anyone have suggestions as to maybe some poses I can try?
Hm..other than that, for the next two weeks it's going to be a MASSIVE swamp of nothing but work work work and college apps xD I have a Halloween Piano Recital coming up next week, so I'm super nervous! >.< But also kind of excited! I'll see what I can do haha~ I'm playing a Chopin Nocturne and I love it so much!
Oh and do check out the ATC Club<3 It's a really fun way to trade with other artists and we're even thinking of coming up with a challenge or contest of sorts so people can trade more ^^ You might want to check with Unknown-chan on that though lol.

Hi everyone!!<333 It's been a little bit but I thought that I should update since quite a few of you were asking how my birthday was haha. I'm so so delighted to have such wonderful friends..you all are truly the people that made it memorable! ^^ *super hugs you all* Thank you all so so so much for the gifts, PMs, art, cards, and just overall birthday wishes! I was very surprised at how many wishes I got from people that I had never met or even talked to before. I absolutely love birthdays because every year I'm reminded of just how many wonderful friends I have and all of the wonderful people I know! ^^ Thank you VERY much again! You guys have no idea how incredible my birthday was despite everything else~!
So let's see...the day of my birthday. Well let's just say it was a REALLY long day hahaha. I didn't get home until around 9:30pm, so it was quite exhausting xDD But the golf tournament went well! Our team didn't win, and the weather was really sunny/hot and the course was REALLY long(Because none of the teams, including mine, had played all 18 before lol), but it was REALLY a lot of fun and I loved the group I was in! You really do make lots of friends in sporting events =) Oh and I shot 44 on the front and 49 on the back nine holes, for those of you that know a thing or two about golfing scores, so I think I did pretty well~ it was definitely a lot of fun! Everyone even sang happy birthday to me at the conclusion of the tournament haha, so I felt so so so happy!
Afterwards the team, our coach and I went out for dinner at a Thai/Pan-Asian restaurant called Chopstix, and they even celebrated my birthday there! xD My coach apparently knows like EVERYONE LOL, so she had arranged for them to bring out some vanilla bean tempura ice cream with light caramel and pecans! There was wayyy too much for me to eat LOL so I shared it with my friends ^^ It was really delicious and the restaurant employees were so kind too! I really liked being with everyone haha, I feel like I really got closer to my team that day.
And finally when I got home, it was quite late, but I had one more thing to do! Check the mail! And my GOODNESS, I was SO happy! I finally got Unknown-chan's package! >.< The box was HUGE LOL, so when my mom saw me bring it in to the house she was like "OMG ARE YOU SURE THAT ISN'T A BOMB?! YOU'VE NEVER EVEN MET THAT PERSON BEFORE!!" But I went on to tell her about Unknown-chan's mom's epic quest to find packaging tape for the box and I reminded her about the letter and ATC I got from Unknown-chan and she was like "Ohhhh. Well, tell her thanks for not sending you a bomb, then." xDDD
For those of you that are curious, you won't BELIEVE how amazing Unknown-chan's gift-wrapping job was! >.< She got me a jar that she decorated and wrapped herself...my goodness with pretty much everything I love! haha. So much Winnie-the-Pooh-themed stuff! xD Stickers(which are FANTASTIC, because I collect them, believe it or not xD), a Winnie the pooh ribbon, and purple tissue paper with a BUNCH of hand-made origami stars that she made herself >.< Haha you won't believe it, I thought it was so nice that I was a bit scared to ruin it by opening the jar LOL. She got me a small sketchbook with some blank ATCs, a bundle of glow in the dark stars in an ADORABLE pouch, a little polarbear, and OMG A CLOUD CELLPHONE CHARM AKGHASDLGAHSGD SOOO CUTE! >.< And she drew me polarbears like all over the card xD That and coming home to 28 PMs and 13 DA comments plus a bunch of happy birthday texts, phone calls, and MSN messages and a big hug from my family really made my night. =) No cake yet though! We'll be eating that tomorrow with my neighbor! xD
Since I've been sooo busy, I haven't even had time to think of what I wanted for my birthday! xDD So my mom and sister said since I dont' know what I want right now, when I find something I want, they'll get it for me then. =) We'll even have a little birthday dinner maybe! So I'm really really happy ^^
Today wasn't AS great, but there's still some time left tonight so I'm feeling fine! ^^ Thank you SO much all of my wonderful friends! You truly are the brightest lights in my life! Take care!<33
Hello everyone! Haha I felt like I hadn't updated in a while, and since I'm in music today and I can't work on my composition since a friend of mine is taking the listening test, I'm writing this post until I can work on it lol. Let's see..what has been going on with me for this past week?
Well I've had tons and tons of golf matches..so many that I've almost been overwhelmed with school work, but I've been getting lots of encouragement especially from you guys so I know for sure that I'm going to be alright! I get a little down at times, but you know, it's how things go at times. =) Like my mom says, Life is not a straight line. haha
Yesterday I had a longgggg freaking golf match lol, I didn't get home until 10pm! But omg even though I was so tired, I got on and started looking through the portfolios of some of the most popular artists on here and I just really really REALLY wanted to draw all of a sudden. I think it's called inspiration haha. =) Anyway I'm working on my composition for music~ maybe I'll have to let you guys hear it sometime!

Hello hello!! It's been a while, huh? Usually I update exactly a week after my last post but apparently it wasn't so for this one OTL. Sorry about that! But I'm back to let you all know what's been going on with me!
So first off, my hiatus I think is going quite well! It's taking forever and a half to line this picture I'm doing, but I'm making progress on it and I'm hoping I can finish within the next few days~ I'm super excited to start coloring it! There's so much I'm really excited about ^^
Second off, the title comes from a song I'm listening to right now xD Don't worry, nothing depressing! But I LOVE this song right now, and I really commend you if you can get this one because I don't think the singer of the song is that popular lol.
Third off, thank you SO much everyone that has subscribed to me and continues to! I'm REALLY grateful for the support I got on my last pic, and I know it's a bit upsetting you won't be seeing my art again until Christmas/New Year's, just know that I've really been working hard to get my art back on track haha! And it's SO wonderful to have that feeling of fun back into my art! ^^ I wanted to post on my birthday(which is on October 14th), but that's too early for me to come back as of yet and plus I have a huge golf tournament on that day xDD At my home course, no less! Which is really bad because our course is in terrible condition and it's REALLY long T___T
And lastly, you won't believe it guys but I got unlimited texting AND a Wii 0__o The Wii was actually bought for my mom's school because there's a little community house where the people asked for a Wii, but she gets to take it home 6/7 days a week so it's pretty much ours LOL. I'm very happy, but I know all of this didn't come cheap so you have no idea how much I appreciate this >.< If you want my cell number to text me, let me know!

I love these pieces, but you don't!(which I'm not sure if I can exactly say because I know for a fact that there are many more underappreciated artists that get WAY less on their artwork than they deserve in comparison to mine >.<)
I was actually pretty sad at how this did at first when I posted it considering how hard I worked on it >.< I'm really proud of the coloring on this one and the detailing on the flowers but perhaps it just wasn't that appealing haha.
I really really like this one that I did for Sakurie because the soft coloring actually came out pretty nice...but I don't know, it did kinda so-so xD I worked hard on the colors, details, and technique for this one but I guess my effort didn't show so well? No idea. xD
Itou~! I had no idea what people meant when they said that OC art was underappreciated a long time ago but now this time I seriously felt it xD If I had put him under the Pokemon section maybe since I'm thinking of doubling him up as my Pokemon Trainer OC, then he probably would have done better. But anyway..I really am proud of this one. I love the coloring in this and I worked so hard on it especially during my hard time in the summer. But eh, nonetheless, things go as they go.

Okay yeah this one...I'm not too sure what to think of this xD It was just ink and screentones on computer xD I really like the result but I feel like it only got popular because it's Twilight? So yeah, things like that worry me some =/
I love this piece, I really really do, but it's really quite old(2007) and almost none of my newer pieces do better than this OTL. So yes, while I really love this one, it just saddens me that it's still on the front page of my portfolio for popularity even though it's from 2007...
I really love this too but it's a gaia commish from 2008 OTL. And it's still gotten 49 some odd votes? I'm really really happy with that number considering the quality of the piece, but I feel like my newer ones are generally better still =/ Nonetheless though, I'm not too upset with my status so far popularity-wise because I know there are many many others that get way less than I do vote-wise.

The coloring for this, despite the detail in the border, was done really simply so I was afraid that the effect wouldn't turn out well, but overall I loved how it came out in the end and it turned out almost exactly as I wanted. I was very happy that people loved the classic Alice idea and I'm very happy about it too =)
Haha I have much better ones than this but I'm still really happy with this one because of the effects and how my first time with cel-shading turned out! This was also my first time drawing Shugo Chara fanart, and so I'm still really pleased considering that. ^^ It's the most popular pic in my portfolio, which I kinda wish would change, but I'm still happy that people acknowledge how much work I put into this piece(or at least, that's the assumption..it might just be because it's in a fandom OTL).
I actually was afraid to post this at first because I was afraid of the reaction I would get LOL. But I'm REALLY happy people loved this first Clouya fanart I did. It's a really simple concept but cute and I still really like this one ^^ It was a semi-speed paint that turned out really nice and I'm happy you guys liked this one =)
