Something random you should know: I LOVE it when people draw the character's personality is intact(in other words, unchanged)~ it really gives the picture a better feel because they act the same as they were made to be.

Hiya everyone!!~<3 Just leaving a short little post to let you know I've updated my portfolio FINALLY xD I'm glad to say that there are more piccys of canon characters coming up in the KH section, but sadly not many of Cloud LOL so I thought I'd add to his "popularity" xD
Today...hm..quite eventful-ish I guess~ I woke up early to play golf with one of my friends~ then I ate Mexican food with her family as well! Then we all went home and I played Super Smash Bros Brawl(which I LOVE LOVE LOVE<3!) pretty much all day until I returned home later!
Otherwise, nothing much xD I don't want to go back to school(and yet I do..to see a certain someone xD)

If I ever stop being lazy and take the time to work harder and faster on my art, that is T___T I really really want to post something up this week(if not multiple things!)~
I'm currently working on 3 piccys(one of which is almost done and should be posted within the next day or two~)! And guess what...it's a CANON CHARACTER xD(guess which one? =P) We need more canon characters lol and though he isn't necessarily a CANON CANON character, I think he is ^^;

Things have been brightening up for me lately~ there was quite a difficult chemistry test on friday, but the teacher surprised us and said that she'd let us finish on monday and we'd have the break to study! ^^ So I will be SURE to be ready for the test on Monday! *nods*
In other news, before I begin on one of the last things I have to say...let's see how I'm doing on New Year's Resolutions xD
New Year's Resolutions of 2009:
-Understand and communicate more with people around me: I AM actually getting better at this and I'm getting around to hanging more with my friends as well ^^ So yay! This one is going well so far~
-Stand up for myself and get one step closer to overcoming guilt: Hm...there haven't really been many instances where I've had to stand up for myself as of yet, but I'm getting better at overcoming my guilt over things that have passed(thanks to the inspiration of a special someone and you guys<3)
-Begin 2 mangas this year...and get far!(KH Fan manga, and my original story! Which I've only told some of you about =P): Not yet *sighs* I want them to be as best as possible, and as of now I don't think I'm quite ready to start either of them yet T__T
-Improve more in my art: more importantly, become a master of CGing and practice lots with my coloring!:I've been experimenting more with CGing techniques so I can find out which is the best one for me...hopefully I'll be able to achieve this!
-DRAW MORE ART =P I'll DEFINITELY do this one this year! Count on it! ^^:Okay...so far, it's been MORE than last year...but seriously, I need to learn the art of drawing FASTER xD
-Keep studying hard: This will probably go on for the rest of my life xDD
-Find a bit more happiness with the people I'm friends with instead of focusing on myself so much sometimes: This one has DEFINITELY been achieved I think. I've recently found out that a few of my best friends really ARE transferring schools, and Chris has told me again and again to be prepared. I think I'm on the right track for this because every morning I wake up and say I'm grateful for every moment I'm alive and with my friends/family.
-Become more consistent!: Ohgod I don't think this one will ever be fixed...still a HUGE problem for me, but I'm getting better!
-ULTIMATE RESOLUTION: Be a better friend to you all! =P I feel like I haven't done enough for you guys, and you deserve more than just what I gave last year!
:I PROMISE SWEAR VOW that I will do this!! You guys deserve more from me and I haven't given it to you all yet! T__T But I promise you guys that I WILL be a better friend to you all and work harder! *nods*
My New Year's Wishes:
-To get the chance to maybe meet one of you this year!(I don't know how, but I hope I'll be able to some way):Not so much a resolution, but I'm hoping I'l be able to meet ONE of you this year. There's still many months left to go, however, so we'll have to wait and see!
-To get my parents to understand me and listen to me, finally.:Not yet. So far, things have been clean though, no arguments lately ^^

Hiya everyone!! It's the weekend yet again and I'm going to leave a mini post before I go on to do my homework! AP tests are just around the corner(about a month from today) and I've really gotta study up as well! @__@
I HAVE been working on art though!(and if you don't believe me, I'll send a WIP screenshot for you to see as proof xD) I've got quite a bit to do..especially Sayoko-chan's contest entry!(I'll get to that soon, Sayoko-chan!)
Er...what else? Not much really xD I've been thinking too much about the guy I like lately and it's really not good for me LOL I'm trying to push him aside to concentrate on my work, however...so hopefully everything goes okay ^^: Even though I think he likes someone else...
Anywhos~ I am off to do my work ^^: There hasn't been much happening besides what I just explained above xD I'll be sure to get around to commenting soon(I apologize for being lazy/busy)~ and also I'll get to pms as well!
Oh, that's what I forgot to talk about xD *just remembered*
I'm having a bit of problem with the originality of KH OCs at the moment, even though I shouldn't be. It's not like me to have to think negatively about other people's OCs, really it isn't, but originality has been starting to grow on me more and more. I think this is mostly because lately there has been a bit of lack of creativity in the KH section(example: the "fanart" made from a googled picture of Sora), and I just wish that people would spend more time thinking about their OCs and their stories.
It's alright to make an AU(alternate universe) for your OC and their story, that's fine. Like Sayoko-chan's story is completely suited to the characters she decides to use, and that's fine. However I REALLY don't like it when character personalities/interest aren't kept the same because then the original canon characters are completely distorted to fit with the interests of the OC/otherwise. On top of that, there's also creating an ENTIRELY new KH(like a Kingdom Hearts 3 or 4...), I don't know, but it seems a bit unoriginal. I would just create an AU for your own OCs rather than do that, but that's just me.
But what really made me think about this was when I saw a Nobody for a CANON character that was created and I thought that was a little bit too much. For Riku, sure, I guess it could possibly apply because he DID have a replica made in KH CoM, but otherwise I don't really see the creativity in creating a Nobody for a character existing in the series.
I would point out examples, but I don't know if I want to go to that level yet xD This was just a mini rant about the originality of people's OCs that I happened to notice over time, is all.
So I just hope, no matter what, that you try and make your OCs(no matter the category) as original and thoughtful as possible. I only have 2 OCs for other categories(Tokyo Mew Mew and Kingdom Hearts) and I spend sooo much time thinking about their stories. I made sure that Riiya did not have a keyblade and that she did not look anything like Sora/Kairi/Riku for originality purposes and it took me EONS to do xD I'm not saying Riiya is at all perfect because really she isn't. And I'm not saying that no one thinks about their OCs, because I'm sure a lot of you, if not all of you that I know that are reading this post, think a lot about your OCs. In fact, for me it's really really enjoyable to read about the profiles/refs of other people's KH OCs because it's REALLY inspiring and enlightening ^^ I even learn from them on how to try and make Riiya a bit more original as well. So thank you all for your inspiration! ^^
