Hi everyone! How's January going for you all so far? Hopefully well! >.< It's gonna be a busy next couple weeks but then after that I'm pretty much free!<33 I've got a HUGE presentation coming up for my diploma this Thursday..wish me luck!
Plus! I've been working on 3 new pics!(one of them is REALLY old..but I'm just finishing the coloring as of now OTL it's got 7 people in it...) So I guess look forward to those within the week ^^
In any case..hm..what do I have to tell you all. Oh that's right!! The other day I auditioned for Mulan(my very first audition ever!) at my school and omg I got called back AND a major-minor ish role! (THE GRANDMA LOL) I was super super happy that I got in but I was a bit upset when I found out from the vocal director that the roles for the major characters(Mulan, Mushu, Shang) were already chosen even before auditions and callbacks and given to people that were in drama =/ It made me upset that they would get peoples' hopes up about getting a major role and yet they didn't say a thing!
Aside from that, I was pretty startled by some things that I saw the other day and one of them involved my friend being bullied by some guys and girls at my school(I even knew two of them because they had pushed me down the stairs 2 years back). I don't know what it was but I stepped in and I told them to stop, and one of the girls was about to slap me but the other girl that knew me, Latrisha, who went to my middle school, told her to stop. Then one of the guys just said it wasn't worth it until the dean came along and took them all to ISD.
I was really kinda scared but at the same time I'm just glad my friend was okay. She got kicked in the stomach several times and hit across the face but man I was just so scared for her >.< I'm glad that it wasn't a big scale fight or anything though...it happened next to the portables on my way to my chemistry class.
I guess it goes to say that it really made me think about fairness. I think about it so seriously and sometimes people think I'm just overly defensive but for me, fairness is a really big deal and putting someone in a position like that..I mean how could you NOT step in? Bullying is just..I mean how can we do that to each other? We're all people, and even to animals it's just not fair. No one deserves to be treated that way, nobody.
But in any case, that was resolved and I didn't tell my parents even because I knew they would worry, but I'm telling you all because I really trust you guys and I'm sure it'll be okay. Thank you all for being such an inspiration for me too, and for sticking by me when I've been in trouble!
