Before anyone gets to reading this, I suppose a foreword is necessary.

This is a snippet-turned-not that was bouncing around my head for my OC Kiki. It involves a small glimpse of her mother, her brothers and a mention of her absent father. It also introduces a 'guiding spirit' that was integral to her even figuring out how to use her time-manipulating pocketwatch. Basically, it's a scene from her life; the point where she finally figured out the small silver pocketwatch she wears as a necklace is an instrument to manipulate time with.
I tried to be sparse with the descriptions of time and the space, keeping it vague as possible because there's no way to really describe time or an isolated space inside it visually. So, if it seems either rushed or kind of strange, forgive me, I have no idea what time or a lack thereof looks like. That and it's through the eyes of some thirteen year old kid, so she's not exactly the most eloquent speaker and some of the sentences seem childish as a result.

It's almost written like it's in the middle of a story, so I didn't delve into certain details about people or event. I'm sorry if that confuses people. Michelle is an Empath; Pushing and Pulling just references subtly affecting someone's emotions. Taylor's telekinetic and Andrew is a telepath with no handle on what he hears and doesn't. In short, Kiki's family is far from normal. Maybe I'll do a snippet describing them in greater detail at some point, but for now, I had to pay this little thing attention before it took over my brain and I have midterms I need to focus on so I can't have a captive brain xD;;
