Christmas Spirit (WLB SS)

Kiki and Mocha raced through the mall, zipping between shops and people looking for what they’d need. Money wasn’t necessarily of consequence, with Dino having offered more than enough to buy everything they’d need. Both had knapsacks packed full of supplies, zooming up empty escalators and leaping over obstacles in their path. They were racing through the upper floors, when Mocha skid to a rapid stop, spinning on the spot and examining a jewellery store.

“Spotted something you like?”

“A particular group of three,” Mocha smirked deviously. Kiki wheeled closer, her voice dropping conspiratorially.

“Ready, steady, go?” Mocha leaned backwards, her Segway rolling slowly out of the view of anyone within the shop. Both girls levelled off at the same place just before the beginning of the shop.

“Ready, steady…” Mocha leaned forward, the Segway creeping just slightly. “Go!” Like the start of a drag race, the two girls were off. From inside the shop, Chero dropped her bags when there was the sound of two speeding machines and the childish screams she’d heard while trying on her dress.

Watch it! We’re driving here!” Kiki shouted.

Move, move move!” Mocha followed up with. Neither of them were seen by Jenny, Chero or Danni as they zipped past, but they certainly had given them the desired heart attacks.

“That must have been Kiki and Mocha, I swear,” Chero panted, trying to slow her heart rate down just slightly. Jenny and Danni both laughed nervously.

“Those disaster twins, always out causing trouble,” Jenny noted, ushering Chero towards more jewellery in an effort to finally have her decide what to wear with her new dress. “Now come on, I’m sure you can find something!”

“Jenny, I told you I really don’t want anythi-” Her protesting statement trailed off as Chero’s eyes were drawn to a small pendant dangling from a delicate golden chain, a diamond-shaped casing housing one single emerald. Danni popped up at their sides, her eyes gleaming and her smile widening smugly.

“You like that one?” Danni plucked it off its hanger and danced over to the counter with it. “This one please, and that’s all!” It was wrapped, bagged, paid for and tucked safely away before Chero could as much as peep, and with jewellery and a nice dress, phase A was officially complete.
