I am going to begin with saying that most of everything in the last three days is kind of running together. Ill try to put things in order.
Friday:
After waking up in the morning, we try to find another hotel. While the Hyatt was nice, it wasnt worth $120/night. Ryu called a couple places that the concierge recommended, either full or too expensive. So I ended up booking with the Red Roof Inn which I had suggested in the first place when the conversation of the Hotel came up.
Not much in the way of panels on Friday, so it was more for checking out the dealers' closet and the artists' cubicle. Totally different from ACEN. We loaded up the cars, took another walk around, then went to pick up Nehs. When we get to her house, she makes a B-line to Kat's car and we leave rather quickly.
Go to the con, the others get their badges and more walking around.
Day one grab - One Piece "Straw Hat Flag" wall scroll. Gundam 00 Arios.
We put Straw Hat flag next to Ryu's Team Dai Gurren flag. Epic window Pwnage.
Saturday.
Kat, Tom, and Ryu went on ahead. I met up with them at MST4K, hilarious. We wandered around for a while, saw the Gurren Lagann photoshoot. Ryu played guitar, and I would name that tune.
Went to Little Kuriboh and Team Four Star's panel, it was hilarious. I was impressed with LK singing along to his parody of "Without Me"
After that, I went to Team Four Star's panel, line was incredibly long. I left for a bit, when I heard that TFS spilt their panel in half to accommodate the people stuck in line, I "found" my way back to the people I was originally waiting with(They happened to be in the front of the line).
Bardock: Abridged was hilarious. I met TFS and LK afterward, talked a bit with them, all great guys, and I got autographs. The con finally kicked all of us out of the room, and Ryu and I met up with everyone else for "Whos Line". Unfunny is the best way I can describe it. When I got the biggest laughs of the panel(win for me, lose for them), it can be a bit sad.
I think after that, everyone else had dinner, then we drove to meet Nehs's Mom and "The Captain". Watching Kat and Tom play with him was hilarious. It was nice to see that Nehs's mom didnt completely hate us ^__^!
Today(Sunday)
One last spin around the con, I was supposed to meet up with some Rurouni Kenshin cosplayers, didnt happen. I didnt cosplay, and I didnt even see the group. Ill try to join a group of Shinsengumi or RuroKen at ACEN.
I got 00 Riser model kit. And a couple of phone charms.
Took Kastom back to Canada, no worries this time around. Dropped him off, got back to the States with no issue. Was actually able to pick up a Chicago AM radio station in Canada, so I got to listen to a bit of the Bears game, in Canada.
The rest of the ride home was rather uneventful. Got back in time for Movie Sign, but Chat hated me, and so did YouTube, so I left the movie.
Then it took me forever to write this update, what with spacing out and all.
