Intelligent conversation! I dont get that nearly enough in daily life. Its why Im glad Im friends with other Otaku. I mean it, you guys fucking rock!
So a small follow up on yesterday's topic.
I did not want to start a flam war. And I never insulted anyone. But this girl kept feeding the troll. And one of the main rules of the Internet is? That is correct! Do not feed Internet trolls. So I broke out my U Mad Bro? mode and just kept poking this kid. It is truly amazing the information you can find in mere seconds online with a search engine. Information checked and verified on multiple sites, so I did not even just take the first thing I found and I pushed. She got pissed, started calling those who didn't agree with her ignorant and dumb, and I laughed. Then I laughed some more. After that, I started laughing again at syntax errors, grammar mistakes, and spelling gaffs. Not to mention constant misuse of "They're/Their/There" and the like.
Then I studied a bit more and learned that what I was saying is in fact accurate, because while I was sure, I wanted to check and make sure I wasn't talking out of my ass. It turns out she WAS mistaken, and I was tempted to respond again, with quotes and citations (As per an actual debate) but I will settle with knowing that its not hard to rile people up when you question their behavior.
For all the poking I was doing, all the fun I had at their expense. I was just trying to offer a young friend some advise. I dont care if people want to smoke weed. It does not bother me in the least bit. I used to smoke weed myself, then I entered High School. Just don't be stupid about it. Don't go telling the world about it, that is how people get into trouble.
But an idiot got mad, and I had some laughs. In the end, that is all that I care about.
Remember kids: Do NOT Feed Internet Trolls.
