I learned something today.

I need to buy more of the Miyazaki movies, I only have Mononoke and now Howl's. I bought Howl's yesterday along with Firefly on Blu-Ray when I was out shopping.

Thats right, the Firefly series on Blu-Ray. It was $70, but I think its worth it. I think maybe next payday in two weeks, I will be visiting an aquaintance of mine who works at a Suncoas Movies near Milwaukee (Rant on that another time). Maybe go and buy Nausicaa and Spirited Away. Then move onto Kikki's and Porco Rosso.

Looking back, as well as the anime that used to be shown on CN that turned me into a fan, it was a rare catching of Mononoke at a friends house on ShowTime that got me fascinated in the genre. I caught the movie at a point when the wolves were on the screen, (and as far as the things in my room, if it isnt anime, or Chicago Sports, its wolves.) Being a bit of a wolf nut, I watched the rest of the movie, and was wondering what the hell it was I just watched, I wanted to know more, see it from the beginning. All that fun stuff.

Its kind of odd that I dont have more of his movies. Maybe a trip to the bittorrent warehouse is in order. At least that would tide me over until I can buy them on DVD.

Later
John
