Part 3 art part

ok, after much technical difficulty the origami folding part come to be!
I made this origami from scratch
The Rising Pheonix

and these are the insructions (in math terms since that's part of the grade)
1) diagonally fold along the bisector of two of the corners (in half)
2) fold again along the bisector (in half again)
3) repeat step 2 the oposite direction repeatedly
4) open to right after step one and fold down the right angle to make the beak
5) refold in half and fold up the corners to make the wings

Part 2 the math part

this is the math part where I folded a piece of paper in half 4 times and recorded it on a table:

Folds 1 2 3 4
# of triangles 2 4 8 16

if I fold it again I get 32 triangles

Folds 5 6 7 8
# of triangles 32 64 128 256

The # of triangles doubles every time because you cut each triangle in half every time

Origami project post one

In Geometry we are making a project about origami, my teacher let me post it here for the presentation part of the project. mine is in 3 parts
this is the first: My origami article
I used this article: http://origami.ousaan.com/library/historye.html

The word origami originated from the Japanese words “oru” meaning folded and “kami” meaning paper. The origin of origami remains unknown, but many theories exist. One theory is that origami originated with the Shinto religion since “kami” also means god or deity, but the ancient pronunciations were different.

The art of paper folding also developed in Europe, but historians don’t believe that it is connected to Japanese origami since the styles are very different, and since European paper folding and Japanese origami both developed during a period where Japan was isolated from the rest of the world. When Japan opened its borders and integrated with western culture, western paper folding and Japanese origami combined into the origami we know today.

spore

I don't know whether to find this lady offensive, or humourously misguided
http://antispore.com/
my thoughts for her
1 ok if you don't like it don't play it
2 I bet you think war is crime against god too, well guess what people like you forcing thier opinions on others is what causes wars
3 if god is all powerful and ea is merely a human industry, why are they such a big deal?
4 clearly you need a life if you can find the time to rant this much about a game, most players haven't spent as much time with spore as you have fighting it
5 have you ever considered god used evolution to create man
6 just cuase the bible says something doesn't make it true, the bible was written by people who are on average idiots
7 you have in effect give ea a lot of free publicity for spore
8 spore is a fun game, not a tool to try and underrmine god

Friday
