The Dark Knight is in my opinion the best Batman movie ever made. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was an original and terifying take on the classic villain as a insane and sadistic psychopath. I deeply hope he earns a posthumous Oscar. Harvey Dent's (Aaron Eckhart) transformation into Two-Face excellently displays the "you can die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain" theme that guides the movie.
The Dark Knight is rated PG-13 but barely manages to escape an R rating. The Joker impales a man with a pencil, and Two-Face's severe injuries are gruesome to say the least. Very violent and scary, not intended for younger audinces
Overall: 5 out of 5
