I get to go home tomorrow! YAY! I miss my family. Apparently while I've been gone they got hard wood floors in the living room. It should be fun to watch the two cats slide across the new floor since they aren't used to it. Unfortunately I can't sleep in on saturday though. I have to go help my dad out at the high school with the school play's set. Why does my high school have to make overly complicated sets?! WHY?!
Even though I'm complaining I really shouldn't. It'll be fun to see all the kids go "WHO IS THAT?!" and point rudely toward me. Then the seniors all go, "THAT'S SHAWN'S SISTER!!!!!" And then I slowly back away from everyone and just sit with the director and make jokes the entire time. Oh how fun this sounds! Plus I get to help with the senior night for the band tomorrow. And I get into the football game for free because of it! HA! I couldn't go to homecoming this year, so it'll have to do...
My third year out of high school...it'll be weird that after my brother graduates there won't be any kids in the high school that know me unless they have siblings that I used to know. It's making me feel a little bad that I'm going to be in college longer than the four years. Stupid calculus making things complicated. And life getting into my way. And people at my college not knowing what Occupy Wallstreet is. It just makes me sad for my generation...
Anyway, I'm going to actually talk about an anime. WHAAAAAT?! I hear you cry, "Your actually going to talk about what this site is made for?! You don't usually do that!" Well, for your information, its because I don't know any new anime or manga that are good. Its true. Even the one I'm about to talk about was made in 2004.
This new anime that has my attention currently is by the name Kyou Kara Maoh! I really enjoy its humor and the manga even declares itself shoujo, which I have to laugh about because at one point the main character accidently gets himself engaged to another guy! Throughout the rest of the series he keeps trying to get out of the engagement and its a huge running gag throughout the series! Oh the humor! But it has its serious parts too, and it has caught me by surprise a few times, which doesn't normally happen with stories. I have to give it a plug, because I just enjoy it so very much!
I was at lunch today with three others. We were being really quiet and not talking much when an elderly gentleman and woman sat next to us. They proceeded to start a conversation with us and I had to excuse myself from the table to go get something to drink. I came back and continued with the conversation, although I noticed that one of my friends had frozen a little bit and wasn't talking very much anymore. I found this a little odd, but continued on. The man and woman eventually left saying they had a meeting to get to. We said our farewells and watched them leave. I turned back to the table and asked if anyone knew who they were. The friend who stopped talking turned to me and said "That was the president of the University."
I kid you not...the president of my university sat with us at a dining center just to talk to a random bunch of students. It was awesome. He has a lot of respect from me now. I had met him last year as well inside of his home because they have an event every year for people to come and see their home and have some tasty treats for free. I have liked the new things he brought to the college and I have always thought he was doing good things for the growth of the University. It just made me see him as a much more down to Earth guy.
So ya...other than that I am just buried in projects and homework. Plus I had an exam this monday and I'm going home this weekend. Its going to be really nice...I'm kinda looking forward to it...but I really need to do laundry soon...I'm out of clean socks and pants that aren't dress pants. Plus I'm almost out of shirts as well...
Alright, I'm going to actually update now that I know when the last time I did this was. If you don't want to read A LOT, I would suggest completely skipping reading this and just saying Welcome back Rain! in the comments right now....

Oh dear god I haven't been on in a while! Its going to take me a very long while to get through your posts that I've missed so bare with me for a while. I've been gone due to an overload of exams and projects piling up. They have slowed down now and I'm able to get back on. Hopefully I start updating on a schedule though. Its tough being an engineer. :
But good news is I'm getting an A in my Western Civilization class. Thats so exciting because I'm really not very good at history...unlike my brother and my father. They are super historians especially about American History. I'm envious of them sometimes because of it. My father is amazed at my computer skills though, so it all evens out.
So ya...just lots of exams and homework. I honestly don't really have anything else to say. Maybe I'll come up with something later, but I really should get to seeing what everyone else has been up to...
First, my car still isn't repaired yet. Thats right, I'm stuck with the damn taurus for another week and I probably have a ticket because I didn't know until the parking division was closed last night and I can't get out there to put the thing on the car till after 7 tonight. Why is this such a pain in the ass? All I want is my car back so I don't have to worry about the parking division anymore. I really really don't like them at this point in time.
Second, one of my professors added a book to the class last week and didn't tell anyone about it. Now, the book store doesn't have any left and my homework assignment that I have to turn in TODAY is out of that damn book. I think it should be against the Iowa State Laws that teachers can add a book in the middle of the damn semester. Now I'm going to get a shitty grade on this homework assignment because I can't even find three of the five problems to do. I'm lucky I even got two of them!
Third, I didn't finish either of my exams that I had this week. Ya, and the first one I know I didn't do well on. It does make me feel a little better though that no one else in either class got the exam finished either. Literally the whole class was still in both of the halls when the time was up. It was just bad...and I still don't know when one of my third exams is...so with any luck there won't be one soon...I could really use a break already. Is it thanksgiving? Please tell me its thanksgiving...
