Hello everyone. I hope that ya'll had a good new years with your family and friends. 2010 already feels nice, even though it's simply just another set of months on a calendar. We all have that desire to start anew. Besides, what's wrong with having a "I will do better this time" mentality?
Other than that, life this past week was pleasant. Even though my family's Christmas celebration ended on the 25th, my coworkers threw a Christmas party on Sunday. There was good food, entertaining games, and a lot of people. I met some new people and hung out with a bunch of my fellow coworkers. Oh yeah, I won ten dollars!
Weekdays? Nothing too enthralling. I started to play more Puzzle Quest and Defense Grid. Puzzle Quest is like a very deep Bejeweled RPG and Defense Grid is one of the best tower defense games ever. I think these games are still on sale on Steam. Very addicting, but it feels like the single player campaigns are going to end soon. I might get Deus Ex on Steam as well!
I also forgot that I went on a trip with my bandmates to my friend's apartment. Originally, it was going to be a recording session for our new album, but that plan backfired because it would sound a lot tighter and organized with our drummer was available on set. Unfortunately he lives in another state, but we will be getting the drums soon (tonight into tomorrow, I think).
Even though the new album wasn't made, we still had loads of fun with drinks, the board game, Risk (every move you make is a serious risk! amazing game), and good food (including oversized sandwiches). I had to burn those fats off the following days because my body didn't feel that well after eating two of those sandwiches. Well worth the money though!
New years eventually came. The ball dropping was okay, but I think that it's better to watch ti in person if you live around the east coast. The first day of the New Years as great because I got to hang out with my cousins yet again. I wore a new blue plaid shirt my brother gave me and my cousins also wore blue plaid shirts (the same exact shade). Supposedly it brings luck if you wear blue on new years day.
Do you have any resolutions? I have a bunch and I plan on carrying them out accordingly. I actually forgot my resolutions from the previous years, so that explains it all. Anyways, here's the list:
Resolutions:
1. Be more sociable and not as quiet!
1a. Go on more dates!
2. Do at least an hour of Nursing studies every weekday.
3. Get into the Nursing program in September.
4. Read a new book every month.
5. Watch a new movie every week on Netflix or in a theatre.
6. Watch The Doctors every weekday or read the transcript of that episode if missed.
My resolutions are nursing related, but I have to be passionate in order to get successful results. If you don't mind, why not share some of your resolutions? I'd like to hear because my curiosity has no bounds.
Cheer up, we're in 2010!
See you in the next update.
