Weekly Update 012

Howdy ya'll. I can't believe that I forgot to update yesterday, but whatever. Today is Valentine's Day, so it makes this post all the more special-er.

I actually have work later today. I'm going to have a smug look when I see couples walk into our cafe. Even though I had a crush on one of my coworkers who I'm working with today before, I hope it's not awkward.

Let's get on with the actual weekly update. I "tweeted" here that I got a Tumblr. I love it because I can upload photos from my phone from anywhere. It's just on par (maybe even better) with my three-something year old camera.

I watched a ton of movies this past week because being snowed in (or too lazy to drive in the snow) bored me. Here's a list of what I saw and my rating out of five stars.

The Baby Sitters Club - 2/5
The Fall - 5/5
Full Metal Jacket - 5/5
Amadeus - 5/5
Being John Malkovich - 4/5
Slumdog Millionaire - 5/5

I just noticed that I handed out a lot of five stars. I watched a lot of great movies in a bunch and there's more to come. But if I had to choose a recommendation, I could safely recommend The Fall and Slumdog Millionaire to anyone. I loved Full Metal Jacket and Being John Malkovich, but I can see them as movies that aren't for everyone.

And I LOVED Amadeus because I really liked the story. How a classical composer could get overshadowed by Mozart. But if you're looking for historical accuracy, you shouldn't. The story and music used in this film is worth it. However, I don't think anyone can sit down for two hours (esp. those who don't appreciate classical music).

With movies over, it's time to get back to the animes. I finally started Baccano! and let me just say this: Kickass! If you've never heard of this show, do everything in your power to watch the first two episodes. If you aren't hooked (like I am because I'm on the 12th episode), then blah. I'll probably get into further detail in my Sherr Reviews blog. So much I want to put out there.

At least WATCH THE OP. It's HIGHLY addictive.

Other than all that, nothing much. I'm still enjoying school. I'm nervous about one of my professors because she mentioned that we're going to have our first exam next week the day before the blizzard happened. I hope that she changes the date, if not I'm going to study for this entire week. I don't mind, but it'll make my life a bit easier if the exam is postponed.

Have a good week (and maybe V-Day)!
