good afternoon everybody. it's been a few days… a somewhat hectic few days too. i wonder how all ya'll are doing. i'm just going to run down a little update on some things going on in my life.
these next fourteen days are the last days of this college term. i have finals and i hope that i do very well on them, especially my last mathematics class (and i seriously wouldn't want to take math again). the other subjects, i can deal with because they're anything but math.
right now, i'm just anxiously waiting for the clock to hit 2:40, so i can leave this house to work. i really need the money because i'm at an "all time low" right now. i'm glad that my debit card balance didn't hit the negatives, or else i'd be in trouble.
i've officially started on my guitar effects pedal board. i won three auctions on ebay, but they came at a really hefty price. the pedal case costs 58.00 (including shipping), but the original price had to be over 100 dollars. this boss reverb pedal originally would be around 140, but i paid 101.52 (including shipping). and my first pedal, the boss sd-1 overdrive pedal costs 34.99 (with free shipping, haha) and the original price is around 48 dollars.
these are the basic effects that i need, but now i need a power supply to run all these pedals and there's one huge power supply that can run them all (voodoo labs pedal power 2), but it costs nearly 200 (you might be able to save 40 dollars on ebay). after that, i might go for some really crazy effects like a space echo (maybe…) or a pedal with some sort of filter on it. my friend is recommending me a boss equalizer pedal which looks really awesome too.
it's going to be fun playing around with these pedals, but it's not fun maintaining everything because it's pricey and my job isn't the best place to work at to get serious money (i can't wait until i become a certified nurse, especially in times like these). hopefully, when christmas arises, my cousins will give me some pocket money to help me out, haha. i really want to finish this simple pedal board.
i wish i could talk about more things, but i will bore you guys to death, haha.
anyways, question (or questions) of the day. if you could play one instrument and be really good at it, which would it be? also, who are your favorite bands/artists?
as you can see, it's guitar for me (maybe piano as a close second). my favorite bands/artists are bjork, sigur ros, and radiohead. i have a really diverse taste in music, but those are my all time favorites. although, right now i'm listening to a lot of chili peppers. you never know who you'll like next.
