Band:
Over these next few weeks, I'm going to help my bandmate record a new album. Yesterday, we recorded two demos so we can figure out what to do with them before we get the 16 track recorder. On this song called Superstar, I have to get my set my parts in stone because I'm improvising 50% of the time. I also have a guitar solo at the end.
Guitar Effects:
Today, I received my Electro Harmonix Small Stone pedal. I'm really happy because it sounds great. I was lucky to get this vintage 70s Small Stone for only 60 bucks. The new ones cost about 80+ dollars retail and don't sound as great as the old versions, so I got a killer deal. The downsides to getting new pedals are the cable prices.
Right now I own about 4 6 inch coupler cables, but I have to get 4 12 inch coupler cables just for these new pedals. The EH Small Stone's inputs aren't on the side, they're on top… and I worry about bending the 6 inch coupler cables too much. I'm also going to get a Line 6 DL4 stomp-box in the mail around next week and its inputs and outputs are on top as well.
I paid about 207 dollars for that delay pedal. It was a fight to win that auction on eBay. The retail price is around 250 without tax, so I saved a good amount of money. However, getting just four 12 inch coupler cables will set me back about 60 dollars. So, there goes my savings!
College:
I start college next week. It's almost the end of my 1+ month break and I'm nervous and excited to go back. I really want to meet new people, but I hope that my new classmates for the semester aren't too stuck up and to themselves. Usually, that's the case when it comes to new college classes. I hate it, but it's something you have to get used to.
Friends:
Remember that kid that kept asking me for rides? Ever since the day he asked me to give him a ride to his girlfriend's house for the second time, I never talked to him. Also, my friend Jon reminded me that whenever we hang out with him, he asks me to give him a ride the day after. He called me about 20 times on the day I was supposed to give him a ride and I never picked up because he pisses me off.
I got an update from Jon because he talked to him recently and he said that my annoying friend was sad because I didn't like him anymore (I have no remorse). Well, I think it's his fault for not realizing that he used me just to get somewhere. He also uses Jon just to play his 360 and his PS3, boring the living hell out of him whenever he's at his house. I hate people who use other people's things without much caring about the other person who owns it.
End:
I think this post got a bit too long. Originally, I planned to just tweet it out there, but I changed my mind. This is too big for just any other tweet, haha. I might give another long and winded lifedate tomorrow, who knows. Have a good day guys. Also, to any TeaOtaku reader, know that I'm now only posting my tea reviews every Tuesday. I'm thinking about adding another day, but I am yet to decide.
