I hate "religious" people who contradict themselves in various ways. You either are religious or you aren't. Make up your mind, ffs.
So there's this girl who seems to pride herself in her Christianity.. however, she makes a post that she would pursue a romantic relationship over religion. Okay, it sounds like she's trying to make a bold statement. I seriously find it hard to believe that she'll do that. She even has quotes from the Bible posted everywhere on her profile page, yet somehow she would most likely throw it all away once she gets into a relationship?
There's something wrong here. It makes me question if she's truly being honest about herself. It's as if she's never really into her religion and its main weakness will allow her to dump it in a snap. It reminds me of how some health insurance companies work. Sure, your record might be clean at first, but if you get one specific ailment, they'll totally dismiss all your privileges.
I went to a Catholic high school, so I have plenty of experience with this. I felt like I was a lot more religious than most of my other classmates. All they did was party hard and make stupid decisions, yet they proclaim loud and clear that they're religious. I actually knew more than most about the Bible, yet I never prided myself in it. I always kept it subtle.
People who are like this influenced me towards my religious views that lean towards atheism. Like one of my most favorite quotes by Gandhi, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
Other than that, I wished people made up their minds. Not only does it make me think of them even lower, but also it turns me off from worshipping and socializing with them.
