Yesterday, my friend told me about the process on how they choose honors society members.
They supposedly sit in a round table fashion and discuss individual students and their eligibility.
Afterwards, a consensus is made and a final list of the top 35% is chosen. I somehow made it.

One reason for my apprehension is the fact that I don't know the exact reason why I'm getting it. My GPA is somewhat above average, but my friends have higher GPAs than me.
It kinda bugs me when you know that the higher ups were talking about you, but you don't know what they're saying.
I just want to know what qualifies me and how I can build upon that.

My friends really want to get invited and I feel bad, however I can't refuse this offer.
They regard highly and I should too. I have to do this for them and I can't forget about myself in the long run.
