Video Juegos

I take this online Philosophy course and this one girl had a post about how a video game console can strongly influence one's life. This one statement, "I believe that game systems such as XBOX360 takes up majority of a student life," annoyed me, so I came up with this reply.

I like how you gave an example of how video consoles influence the behavior of people, but I strongly disagree with your statement on how a single system could take over someone's life. I believe that video games can be considered as a new medium of multimedia and entertainment, along the ranks of movies and television shows that we expose ourselves to. We have enough "distractions" at the moment now that multimedia is readily accessible anywhere. Any sort of media always has the potential of making someone addicted. I do wholeheartedly agree with your opinion regarding addiction because a person shouldn't be so addicted to a single video game that he or she would flunk a course. That is just terrible mismanagement of time and carelessness on that person's behalf.

That would be cool if my professor gives me extra points for this, haha. It won't happen though.
