(Note: Shift back. :3 I got a feeling this is gonna last a while. XD I'm enjoying writing to continue it. And trust me. >> I probably would have had her say similar. ^^;)
"Actually. I do have one for you..."
I crossed my arms, relaxing slightly and feeling a slight breeze blow by. I walked over and leaned against the railing beside us, reaching up and loosening the ribbon in my hair. I let it fall into a simple ponytail and wrapping the extra ribbon around the base once again to tighten it back down.
"The seal. Most have a mark of some sort. I'd like to see it if there is one... I'm curious... And perhaps if you'd show me the eyes from the memory. Chokushi no Magan, I do believe."
'Kira? You know that's not a smart thing to do...'
'Perhaps. But I'm curious...'
'Curiousity killed the cat, Kira... And this one isn't dying tonight...'
'And satisfaction brought it back, Toorima. I'm not dying tonight either. I don't think Hadachi-san is going to kill me. Nor do I think he is... dark enough to attack someone that knows part of his past.'
'Kir-'
'Lock it up, Toorima. My words are spoken, I can't take them back.'
'Kira... You're on your own.'
She faded off again...
"She's trusting one minute, and untrusting the next. Shifty?"
"Like the snow she lived on. She's similar to me in that respect. She keeps alert. And with it being night, nothing goes un-noticed."
I closed my eyes and mentally glared at Toorima. She was interfering with my plans. I came out here to see how my fellow classmate acted off the clock. He was the one we sensed when we first came here. I knew something was different and I took my chance to find out. She was messing that up.
"Anyway,"

(Re-working from here)

I opened my eyes again and felt something stir. It was another presence...
And they were not happy about something...
"Hate to do this, Hadachi-san, but we'll have to talk later. And I'd still like to see those little hidden features if you will..."
"Ah. Very well then. A later date?"
I turned to him and nodded, standing straight and pulling my hair back up into the bun it was in before.
"A later date. Ciao, Hadachi-san!"
I bounded upwards and landed on a higher branch of the tree, taking off toward the presence I felt...
--
I followed it, slowly but surely, staying just out of range where I could barely sense them, but close enough I could follow them. It was risky, but worth it. I found Hisa practicing... And she was obviously focused on it. She didn't seem to sense me hanging about.
I noticed something however.
There were tear trails on her face...
She had been crying.
'Well, well. Wonder what upset her... Judging by the scent they are recent.'
'Very. And will you stop doing that!? I hate it when you tap my senses like that. It throws me off when you tell me something I pick up just before I get it.'
I swear she grinned at me. I could see it in the back of my head.
'Oh well. If you are so good, tell me how long ago she was crying?'
I knew she was grinning now. She knew I wasn't that good at such...
'Toorima. Why don't you tell me since you are still over-lapping my senses again...'
She chuckled and started to say something but stopped.
'We have company.'
And we did. Suchi-ru was coming up to the field. I masked my spiritual pressure as best I could and sunk down a bit, hidding in the branches of the tree I had landed in. She stopped and watched her, I did the same, only keeping alert to any of her movements.
'Anyway. It's Suchi-ru. Nothing to worry about for the moment. A time frame please?'
'She came close enough to catch a brush of your spiritual pressure, by that time she had already caught Hadachi's. That's when she turned and left. The scent is still fresh, we may have caught her five or six minutes afterward, at the most. So you tell me.'
'Something about that didn't sit well with her. Our little meeting must have set her off...'
'Exactly.'
'Great. I'm causing issues now... Lovely. Just freaking lovely.'
'Guilt trips aren't helping you. Get off it.'
'And?'
I drew away from my little mental discussion and looked back to the field. Suchi-ru was on the field now. I heard her ask Hisa something and, since I was too caught up in kicking myself for dropping my guard and not seeing that, I missed that as well. Brilliant...
'Ha.'
'Shut up. I'm ticked enough at myself. Don't rub it in.'
'I'm not. I'm making a point. You got caught up in your little world and didn't see something plain as day.'
'So I noticed. Thanks for sharing the salt.'
I prided myself on my superior tracking and sleath abilities. It was where I was highest and what I loved doing. Sneaking up on people was one of my little past-times. Today had just blown that to hell and back. I had slipped up and let my own spiritual pressure show, had I not done that, Hisa wouldn't have been hurt because of me in any sence of the word... At least not as quickly. I'd have perhaps been able to prevent that...
'Kira. Practice what you preach, my little wildcat. It's done and over with. Nothing you can do to fix it now.'
'...'
She was right. I was stuck with this one. I'd wait my time and then go see what was wrong for myself. See if I am right...

Well. I reworked and ran with it. Hope you two like how I did that. :3 Pick it up and run with it if you wish.
