(Sorry. ^^; Couldn't resist the chance at actually introducing myself right to someone. Bugs me when I get adressed by someone I don't know because they hear of me before I hear of them. XD)

I rolled over and felt something shift, it wasn't physical though...
'KIRA! Wake up!! Come get me!! NOW!'
I jumped and could've sworn my ears were bleeding...
'WOMAN. DO. NOT. YELL. THIS. EARLY. IN. THE. FREAKING. MORNING.'
I rubbed my ears, noting instantly that they weren't bleeding, but that instead they were ringing. Toorima had woken me up the hard way this morning.
'I'm a cat. Not a mortal. Don't call me that. Now! Up-sie~ Daisies~! Come get me.'
'Come get you?'
If she could have, she probably would have slapped me...
'You advanced! Now come get me!'
'I advanced...?'
Light bulb moment.
'YES!!! On my way Toorima!'
'Thank you. Now hurry up!'
The grin was painted in her words. She was just as happy to be back with me as I was to have her back.
I jumped up, dressed as quickly as I could and still look decent, then bolted out of my dorm. I tore through the halls, nearly slamming into a younger girl I had not seen before as I exited the female dorms. She was clearly new, as I had never seen her before; though the white hair would be hard to miss when I went after her later to appologize and introduce myself. I darted around corners as fast as I could without running into someone else, I came close a few times but managed to spin out of the way. Hisagi-sensei would be proud of the agility display if he had seen it, but I'd worry about that later. I finally managed to find where Toorima was. She was in the Headmaster's office... Apparently keeping the zanpakuto there was a better idea than putting them somewhere the students could get to...
I knocked on the door twice.
"Come in, Kira-san."
I made sure I was presentable then walked inside. I hated having to go before higher-ups...
"I'm here for Toorima. She woke me up this morning demanding I come get her..."
A small grin slid onto their face, apparantly Toorima was acting up...
"She's been at it all morning. I didn't know what the trembling was at first..."
She stood and walked to the back of her office, pulling my beloved black and white wakizashi from a cabinet. I tossed a smile and took a step to meet her. She placed Toorima in my hands and I hugged her as soon as the headmaster's hand was off her.
"Thank you, Headmaster-sama!"
Out the door I went. I was gone in 30 seconds flat and back outside. Shupou was a wonderful thing...
'This is so much better... Felt wierd without having you at my hip.'
'Agreed. I missed getting petted.'
Yes, Toorima was still a cat, even if she was sealed in the form of a sword. It wasn't uncommon to see me stroking the handle of scabard, as if petting a cat. I was doing just that, perched in a tree(on the higher branches of course) with my back against the trunk and my hands in my lap, petting my sword. It was strange not to have Toorima at my side, even for the shortest of time periods.
A contented purr rang through the blade, the scabard trembling just the slightest. A smile slid onto my face and I relaxed against the tree, napping with my zanpakuto 'curled up' in my lap, just like the cat she was...
--
I rolled over and right out of the tree, landing crouched with my eyes closed. I had classes in about 15 minutes, so I had some time to burn.
'Toorima?'
'Hmm...?'
I watched as she opened one lazy eye to glance at me, the bone white eyes that oddly held more detail than most cat eyes almost like a dart. She was relaxed, yet clearly a killer when provoked. I had missed being able to see her, as I couldn't do such when she wasn't with me. I walked over to her and kneeled down, petting her ears. Her eyes closed again and she pushed her head up toward my hand, just like a domesticated cat would. She was no house cat though...
Black silk stretched across steel cords and a diamond frame. Easy way to put it.
'Shall we go visit with someone? We've got some time to kill before classes start. Around 14 to 15 minutes.'
'Sure. Shall we go see the newest addition to the academy? You nearly floored her earlier today...'
'Sounds like a plan. I may have her for some of my classes, who knows?'
I pulled out of my own little world, opening my eyes and standing. I brushed off some invisible dirt and tucked my hands in my sleeves.
'Do you know her name?'
'Nope. We'll find out though.'
I jumped up and started running, no shunpou, just a steady pace through the trees and across walls and fences. I dropped down infront of my first class, the Kido training areas... Kido wasn't my strongest point, but I could do a few. I always used the incantations however, even if I didn't need to. It was habit. I didn't use them much anyway, but when I did I wanted it to be at full power.
I stepped inside and looked around, noticing the newest arrival at the front of the room, speaking with Hinamori-sensei. I leaned against the wall and waited on her to finish before making my presence known.
"Yes, Kira-san?"
I stood and walked down to the front of the room, making no sounds except the brushing of cloth since my kimono wasn't exactly sleath gear.
"Was merely coming to class. I had some time and was going to check all of mine, see if anything was going to be different. Seems I was right to come here first."
I stopped and turned, bowing to both Hinamori-sensei and our newest arival. I wasn't normally so bold, but since I was in such a good mood from regaining Toorima, I was being nice and introducing myself. It was easier since I had overheard her name...
"I'm Yamaneko Kira, one of your fellow students. 'Tis a pleasure to meet you, Kuchiki-san."
A slight purr sounded from my hip, Toorima... Apparently introducing herself in her own way.

Take it and run with it if you'd like to. lol ^^; Kinda got the idea in the middle of class and ran with it. Needed something to kill time and get another post up. Have fun with it~.
