The tunnel was dark like we were completely stationary. But we kept running. The only thing that kept me from stopping and giving up was the determination to find my friend. I had to drag Hiro along with me so he wouldn’t look down at the colors that lit up the ground as each of us took a step. From what I could see I was making small ripples of a pale green. Hiro’s was a deep purple, Akane’s a salmon color, Ray blue, Toko orange, Vathana’s crimson, Suchi magenta, and Renton’s golden yellow. Finally a small light shined its way threw the darkness. We ended up in mid air high off the ground. All of us landed on our feet just fine. Hiro ended up landing on me making me collapse because of the sudden added weight.
“HIRO WHY DO YOU PERSIST ON LANDING ON ME?” I yelled furiously. I could feel my face becoming beat red.
“Well you see there is a simple solution to that. You seem to me the comfiest person to land on.” He chuckled.
*eye twitch* “Just get off.”
“Stop fooling around you two.” I heard Vathana sigh.
“I’m not fooling around. He landed on me again.” I stood up abruptly making Hiro fall to the ground. “Tanaka Stop laughing at me.” I pouted as I heard him in my head.
“We’re here to find Rai Hiro, not for you to flirt with Hisa.” Akane sighed tapping her foot.
“It’s snowing but the snow never reaches the ground.” I muttered holding out my hand.
“Now the question is where to start looking.” Toko said looking around.
I pointed a little to my left. “He’s that way it’s as plane as day.”
Everyone but Vathana looked at me funny. He was looking in the direction I was pointing.
“I’m serious can’t you guys see it? Vathana back me up on this one. Can’t you see it? It’s not just flat land out here it’s a maze and we’re right at the beginning of it.” I exclaimed.
“I can see it too. But my question is how can you see it Hisa?” He asked.
“I don’t know but it’s there plain as day like I said before.” I could feel Vathana’s gaze staring me down.
“Then what are we waiting for.” Hiro tried charging ahead of us but we grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back.
“ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED?” we shouted in unison.
“Hisa and I will lead the rest of you keep up and don’t lag behind otherwise you might never make it out again.” Vathana ordered.
